14 characters left to get gloves and boots for, but since I'm going over to the family's for Christmas Day anyway, I plan on getting a few more items scanned at that time. Also, I'm hoping that I can get more work done on my Tarot card for that group project.
In the meantime it would be nice to see a few more comments on my art. Constructive criticism and/or encouragement would be appreciated. Although I do sort of know already that my anatomy does need work. A lot of work. -
Don't try too hard. Just take it easy and let it come at it's own pace. If you try and force it you could end up burning yourself out. Relax and enjoy the ride. Keep drawing, and little by little you will pick up new little tricks and techniques that will help you develop your art style. You can try new things, but don't force them into your current style. Other than that, I agree with everyone else who says that you have a lot of potential. Keep at it!

I was wondering when you'd get around to asking.

Well, I can also admire your work for others while I wait.

some of you have seen and enjoyed my micro heroes and I love making them for you guys and I don't plan on stopping. But it's made realize just how much I really suck at drawing. The whole reason I do micros, is because I can't draw.
I'm a good design person. I take pieces and put them together well. But I really really want to draw. I have these visions, of my characters and Non CoH stuff that I really really want to see on paper and I just can't do it. I try... I read tutorials, buy books, download hundreds of Timm templates and other Evo templates and assorted other templates and I just can't produce the things I see in my head.
Sometimes it almost makes me want to cry.
Anyways... I just had to get that out. I'll go hide back in my micro thread now.

This is sort of where I am right now, except it's not because I can't draw, but I'm currently struggling with a mental block that stands between me and my sketchbook. Maybe you're in the same situation but haven't figured it out yet. -
Just an update. I'm not sure when I'll be scanning more artwork. I may try to get some scanned Christmas Day as I will probably be over at the family's. The rest of the month I'll be too busy trying to grab the Winter event gloves and boots for about 17 more of my characters. I hope I have enough time, especially considering it's getting harder to find teams to take down Snaptooth.

I would love to send that to Rob Lifeld.

Ouch! Yet so very true. If it wasn't true, it wouldn't be so funny. -
It wasn't me. I haven't asked yet. I don't want people to think I'm greedy.

Ok, I can't help it. Is there room in your queue? If so, character images are on my Live Space. Pick the one you want to do, and then go from there. -
I still have so much more stuff to scan. For some of it I'll need a really big scanner. Especially my first attempt at airbrushing (which I never did get to finish).
-
If you ever think of extending that list by, say, one more then feel free to click the link in my signature (My Live Space) and have a look at my characters. I'll let you pick the character that you'd be most comfortable with drawing.

Wow, Persona. I know you were a bit worried about showcasing your work but I don't think you need to be.
I look forward to seeing what you draw in the near future.

Well, I've been stuck recently as far as my art is concerned. I'm a bit rusty and have a bit of a creative block. I can still come up with ideas and all, but the problem comes when trying to get them back down on paper. Some of it I think is low self-esteem with regards to my skills (I really need to brush up on my understanding of anatomy), some of it is my perfectionist nature, and while I'm usually very patient about things getting better at my art isn't one of them. Throw into the mix a new graphics tablet that is a few sizes too small and I still have to adjust to it's use and things get a little more awkward for me. I think the encouragement I've been getting from the forums here has been helping so far. I hope with all of your help that I'll be back to drawing in no time at all. -

Those are good. I like the Enigma drawing, and Legacy's got a cool costume.
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't draw Legacy, so much as I traced his costume onto some artwork from a comic I used to have (before the basement flood several years back when I lost almost all of my comics). Still, the costume design is mine.
Enigma is a curious character. She is two females who became merged into one body. She is somewhat clumsy as a result as neither mind/personality has complete control. They have the ability to redirect the flow of lifeforce. They can drain life, give life, or transfer life between two or more individuals. I guess in City of Heroes terms that would make her a Kinetics user. She comes from a hero group I created that has as it's members a bunch of superpowered misfits. hardly any of them have full control of their abilities, and so this can create some interesting scenarios. -

Not bad at all!!

Thanks. It's been a while since I've drawn, but I'm hoping to get right back into it. Especially with all my new ideas! -
Update: I've updated my deviantART page as well with all my art scans. This should make it easier for others to link to any indivudual image specifically.
-
Ok, I finally got around to scanning some of my artwork and then copying it to disk. I got it home last night and this morning I editted it into a more viewer friendly format (the original files were huge). I've currently got it posted in My Live Space for everyone to view, but have yet to upload them to my deviantART page. I may get to that later today if I have time. It depends on how long it takes me to do my grocery shopping today, and how many characters I can get my Santa gloves and goots for. Have a look and tell me what you think. Feel free to give my artwork a critiquing, so long as it's constructive.

iTech Defender for Personamorpher *** Completed ***

I was already having a great day to start off with, but seeing this just makes it all the better.
I'll have to edit it into an avatar for City Game Tracker for him soon enough. Everyone can already see the others that I've added. -
I remember bumping into you in the Winter Chalet on Victory. I said hello and everything. I think I was on Inferno Hammer at the time. My villain badge collector simply for the fact that he was my first villain.

It's taken from Bleach I believe. -
[ QUOTE ]
Hehe, apparently I kinda forgot to update that. After going through your list of many many many toons, I decided on iTech Defender. I thought he was a bit different form what I have been doing. Is that cool with you, Personamorpher?
[/ QUOTE ]
Interesting choice. That's part of why I like to let the artists choose. It's interesting to see who they end up deciding on. There is also that anticipation when waiting to see who they picked, and then the suprize when you finally do see who they picked. It also gives each of my characters a fair shot at being drawn, as I might tend to pick some characters over others.
If you didn't check my City Game Tacker profile linked to in my Live Space, iTech Defender is an Invulnerability/War Mace Technology Tanker. He fights for creativity, imagination and freedom of expression. -

Out of respect for him, he just should be left in Outbreak.
