  1. Yep, Flamethrower is the greatest on herds

Sounds like you guys had great fun. I'll be along next week, and hopefully I'll have been able to catch up a little by then.

Have you already picked up the Sky Raider Chappy contact, and have you picked up the Raptor Pack temp power already? If so, I'll try and get that done too.
  2. Sorry to hear that.

Best of luck Kryten, I hope this isn't the last we hear of you.

Should everything go to plan I'll be able to make my first Kheld very soon.

Does that mean you'll be playing your MA/Regen Scrapper over the weekend? Or are they already 50? Grats!

PBs are generally considered easier to use than WS, for the reasons stated above.
  4. Slotted in Sprint, the Stealth will last for the whole time Sprint is on, plus 2 minutes after it is switched off. It has no Defence, like you guessed.

Yeah I know they're expensive at the moment, but the prices will drop eventually. The +Stealth IO recipe (the run and jump one, either of which can be put into Sprint) can be obtained from the TF Rewards pool, if you want to try and get it sooner.

    [ QUOTE ]
Why not just whack one in Swift or Hurdle? That way it would be perma

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because you can't slot them into Swift or Hurdle anymore.
  5. Personally, I would drop Stealth rather than TK. TK is incredibly useful and you'll have the endurace to keep it up with Power Sink.

You can always get a +Stealth IO later and slot it into Sprint.
  6. Oh yeah, get Petro's arc out of the way as soon as you can to open up the English Sky Radier Chappy, for the jetpack temp powers. Dion't want to risk outlevelling him.

Hi Thuged, you're welcome to join us if you like, but we're currently only in the early lvl 20s. If you want in on the Trapper SG (not compulsory) then let us know too. I'm sure we'll catch up to you soon enough!
  7. An Ice Trapper would be excellent too!

You're welcome to join us. As already said, we're on Union and the weekly meetings are on Mondays from 7pm onwards (we usually do about 3 hours).
  8. To hazard a guess, I would assume that if the KB attack doesn't exceed your protection, nothing happens. If it does beat your protection, you do a somersault.
  9. I'll be on tonight from 7pm-ish, hope to see you all then.
  10. Weclome back! Hope to see you next Monday.
  11. Set bonuses are disabled if the power they're in is disabled for any reason. That includes shapeshifting.
  12. Last night was awesomeness

That was the first time I've attempted a vilains SF and Binder of the Beasts is nice, reasonably short and has enough variety to keep me interested - plus possibly the largest AV in the game! Because people had to be eslewhere we skipped the missions as best we could, but if you'd like to know exactly what it was we were doing last night, there's a synopsis here that includes all the mission briefings and clues.

Lovely TF Invention recipes, and some of us even hit level 21 too!

Next week, I think we'd better work towards the 20-25 mayhem mission, Steel Canyon.
  13. Sorry to hear that Radio

    All the best, take care.
  14. We'll see how it goes. Personally I'd like to do the SF but at the same time I'd also like to earn some XP!
  15. Seems like forever since last week!

I'll be online tonight from 7. Hope to see you all then.
  16. You won't hit the cap from FS alone. Say you fire FS and hit the maximum ten targets, that's a (40 + (10*20) = 240) 240% damage buff. Corruptors have a 500% damage cap IIRC so there's room for more. Double-stacking FS can be done quite easilly and that'll get you close, but you won't be able to stack more than that without some outside help.

Besides Aim powers also buff your accuracy and if you hit more, you damage more. Plus added accuracy always helps your Kinetics powers from working when you need them to.

It's your choice at the end of the day, but I'd recommend trying to fit Soul Drain into your build. Being a Kineticist means you'll be in range to use it most of the time anyway, and there's no such thing as too much damage!

Nova form only takes Fly sets (which does mean it will take a Stealth IO).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Oooh, stealth squid!
  18. Dark Blast suffers a little in the damage stakes by not having an Aim power, but it is great for damage mitigation and soft control. Just make sure you get Soul Drain from Soul Mastery and you'll be okay.
  19. While Rad Blast's -def synergises with Kin nicely, both sets are low on control so you may find it tough going for a long while.

You see, Kinetics does wonders for damage and speed, but its debuffs (Siphon Power and Siphon Speed) are single target until you reach level 38. This makes large spawns dificult. Repel can help against bosses but is tough to control and endurance draining. And (aside from its nuke) Rad has no damage mitigation outside of one (very slow and unreliable - 25% chance only) knockback cone and one mezz (the awesome but single-target Cosmic Burst).

If you plan on sticking with Kinetics, better primaries to pair with it would be:

Ice Blast: Loads of speed debuffing, fast animation times, even a couple of holds. Plenty of AoE to boot.

Sonic Blast: Gets damage mitigation from a Sleep cone, a very reliable (100% chance) Knockback cone and a single-target stun. Plus all that lovely -res stacks with your damage boosts and can potentially take you over your damage cap. Some nice AoE from the cones too. Remember that Fulcrum Shift doesn't wake sleepers either!

    ---

EDIT: Just realised what I said pretty much contradicts what Cognito said

Ice or Sonic will make for a very soloable Kinetic. If you plan on playing mostly in teams, you shouldn't need so much damage control, so Fire or Rad are fine too. AR is okay too, if you can stomach the redraw animations (which will annoy Kineticists more than anyone else).
  20. Not to worry MD.

Well we finally cleared through Marshall Brass' story arcs, so next week those who need it should be able to grab the Goldbricker jetpack mission. That's the first thing we'll do next week.

Then after that, how about the CaD SF? With I9 rewards at the end of it?
  21. No probs OperativeM.

I'll be online at 7pm. Hopefully see you guys then.
  22. Getting the Goldbricker pack is more important than the SF, and there are some still folks who need it so that's the priority. The SF may have to be put back another week, but we'll see how we go.

You're most welcome to join us Operative M. Come along on Monday at 7pm and see if you enoy yourself.
  23. Sorry to hear that Kryten

    Get well soon!

Hehe - that must be a good one when another SG member's trying to tell the team lead who to type the invite for.

Hehe! Well I did go through a phase of longer and longer toon names

Gah I hate that font! I used to have a villain called "The Ill [something... don't recall]". As soon as I saw the name in the in-game font I decided it would be less of a headache if I remade the toon with a different name.
