What started as an interesting thread, has turned into something more along the lines of a Math conference.

"The Atomic Aura owes its existence to an excellent suggestion for an electron-themed aura in one of Noble Savage's art threads."
Im calling this one. Until proven wrong -
The sad part of this thread is that all of these ideas all seem just out of reach of what we currently have.

"Espionage as a capital offense. Capital punishment is authorized if the government alleges and proves that the offense directly concerned (1) nuclear weaponry, military spacecraft or satellites, early warning systems, or other means of defense or retaliation against large scale attack, (2) war plans, (3) communications intelligence or cryptographic in-formation, or (4) any other major weapons system or major element of defense strategy. See R.C.M. 1004 concerning sentencing proceedings in capital cases."
No need to have a formal declaration based on R.C.M 1004. -
Too bad Marvel lost the rights to Godzilla comics. Now they have a Monster Island, with no Godzilla.

What Manning did was against the UCMJ and technically punishable by death in time of war (See: Afghanistan)

Quote:I like this one.Varied sound effects for powers, particularly melee powers. Slicing a spectral demon with a sword/claws/katana etc. would sound much different than slicing an arachnobot. Even striking the same kind of target would not make the exact same sound every single time.

Oh by the way DYNAMIC CONTENT(tm)! Also destructible environments in instanced missions.

Standard rez comes with a temp disorient, so we have rez sickness.

Heated discussion of the latest Secret Avengers comic and Caps point of view.

Im with Cap on this, but many are not. -
Quote:The comics are canon; the novels are canon; the game is canon.
All three are contradictory. Life goes on.
But yes, until he was resurrected by the Dark Watcher at the end of the Top Cow comics, he was raw energy, contained inside his armor after losing control of his powers during the Rikti War. After Positron's armor was breached during the fight with the Honoree and the Rikti (killing Psyche, Synapse, and Manticore, plus Posi himself), when DW brought him and the others in the Phalanx back to life, he restored Posi's body back to normal, granting him control of his powers once again.
*embarrassed shrug* (I had to learn all this when I started writing TCoSR. I is geek.)
Be that as it may, yes, I'm sure he can relate to Numina on some level because of that... by the same token, he could relate to War Witch and even Ghost Widow - all three women (aside from being dead) are trapped in their astral/ghost form.

Just still begs the question of why Posi still lugs around that bulky armor? -
Looks like an Iron Man "Proof of Concept".

Quote:But an exoskeleton is not a super power. And while it may not be invulnerable, it is a damn sight tougher than the meatsacks known as people. You also have to work in controls to keep the exoskeleton from hurting or killing the user (Iron Man 2 and Mjolnir armor on the un-enhanced, for example).
A dampening device defeats the purpose of the power. If you can dampen it, then that means others can as well. And there is only so much control that you can have over autonomic functions without decades of monastic training.
Only if the Touch works when you want it to as opposed to a constant-on power. Midas Touch, if taken literally, means that you can't touch anything lest it turn to gold. No scratching your nose, no hugging your kids, no high five after the touchdown, no feeding yourself, nothing.
When speaking about invulnerability, I was referring to the toughness of your physical form. In this case, since there is no tissue damage associated with muscle strain, you are able to perform at super human levels. In this form, it works the other way too, if you have super strength, there is a level of resistance to damage that is associated with it as well. Your tissue need to be tough enough to lift those heavy objects, that's why construction cranes aren't made out of paper. -
A lot of powers come with a "self-screwing" mechanism, like the power of Flight, without the ability to survive a fall. I would take invulnerability, it comes with inherent super strength.

Quote:Lore Slot expansion! I knew it would pay to wait!So "the next content release after I20" doesn't count as "soon"?
I said it could be an I20.5 release, as filling out the new slots with extra stuff would be like filling out the Alpha slot in I19.5 - or I said it could be I21.
The next content release after I20 is either I20.5 or I21 - what I said was totally correct. -
I may be a little behind the power-curve on this, but it dawned on me at work that Pandoras box gave the world superpowers, but the Well gave Cole and Rictor the added incarnate boost. This could mean that our original powers may have nothing to do with the Well, leaving the field open for further expansion of the lore beyond the Well.

They're as close to "Dante's Inferno" style demons in the game. I wish we had more.

Quote:General reply: Well, my first hero got Ion Judgement last night, and I will agree that stuff like this makes you want to play that character a lot, and leads me to want to continue earning this iXP. That is truly a "super" power, not to mention I badly want the MK Victoria pet [And unlike most, I dont give a damn if the concept fits my character or not].
We advance well enough with the iXP I think, but still distressed over the lack of shards, which I still badly need in order to continue my Alpha progression. Shards drop at an incredily slow rate for me, I find it frustrating. And now we can get shards OR iXP, but not both. Sucks.
The shortness of the trials is a plus.
But yeah, Ion Judgement is a hoot
I have to agree here, the power...REAL POWER is rather addictive. -
Great! Singer remade Superman I and now this guy is remaking Superman II.
