I'm seeing posts from people who were not as into the 2XP weekend as usual. Just wondering, but how many low- to mid-level builds do you still have? Personally, almost all of my Champion characters are 50, leveling up is not as high a priority there, so I found myself juggling among the many alts I have on other servers that did need leveling up...

Got my Widow, Merciless Sapphire, from 32 to 36 last night.

Had spent time helping friends on another server level up, got a MM Thugs on Justice from 17 to 30 this Saturday.

Also worked on my original pirate, LaJeanne Gaspar (Fire/Kin Troller), on Pinnacle server from 25 to 29, and unlocked Hess TF contact. So if anyone's got a pirate on Pinnacle level 25 or higher, lemme know so we can Hess it up!

Forget the alehouses. I just checked zillow.com and the property values in the New Hope region ARE INSANE!!! $200k for a 1 bedroom?!?!?! Even Florida's not that bad (well, outside of Boca Raton...).

Also, I *will* be able to make an appearance or three during this upcoming 2XP weekend... it IS this weekend, ya?

Try an 1981 Dodge Mirada. Or a Honda Civic Coupe my dad owned that caught fire THREE TIMES and was the source of much woe for me in mid-December 1986... my older brother had the Honda up in Maryland at Annapolis, car dies on him and he leaves it at a 7-11 in the middle of nowhere, my dad gets it in his head that we can't trust mechanics in Maryland and so he grabs me, get a hitch on our large sedan and we drive straight from Palm Harbor FL to Annapolis MD in 14 hrs. Right as we hit the Maryland border around 4 am at night it starts to rain. RAIN. NOT SNOW, RAIN. We find the 7-11 where the Honda's been left and the damn car was sitting AWAY from anyone's view, meaning the local vandals smashed in windows and tried ripping off the radio. RAINING. My dad wants to tape up the windows with plastic bags so there we are, standing in DECEMBER RAIN and me coming straight from Florida with just a windbreaker jacket, and it takes us an hour to get anything secured over the windows because the rain is hampering the tape's stickiness, and then we go driving off to my brother's girlfriend's place in Crofton to pick him up and I SWEAR TO GOD THE SECOND WE HIT THE DRIVEWAY IT STOPS RAINING. And then we all drive back down to FLorida with no stops, I get maybe 1 hr of any real sleep during the trip, and I'm sick for 6 months. Oh, and the mechanics down here in Florida rip my dad off 'cause the car sets fire one more time about 3 months later and that was that. I'll never buy a Honda, even with a gun to my head.


For some reason I wanna log on tonight and beat up a car right now.

Anyway, Captain Amaranth is in the Bloody Bay Buc SG. Witty's Pirate SG. And I gotta give it up for the design and layout of the base.

Wow. It's epic.
The Large Rooms with the Tall Pillars gives a Majestic Hall Feel.
It didn't feel crowded like some bases (including my own Villain SG Base), it felt..... Super.

It wasn't flashy, or gaudy, or super innovative. It was just well done, and impressive.

If you haven't had the chance to see the Pirate SG base, find the time and opportunity. It's a Base done right!

Most of the work was Mysidia's. I'd say 95 percent of it. It was when I started tweaking the base with some decor that, um... He left. Either that or I kept getting his gender wrong (you keep playing chicks, Mys! I got confused...) Either way I cheesed him off.

I'm not gonna take credit for the good work Mysidia did. Please let Mys know your appreciation of his efforts.

Given my car situation (it died last night and it's looking to stay dead), and other personal issues, I cannot guarantee any online activity. I certainly won't be able to do any TFing or events for the moment.

You can forget the Saturday TFing, at least from me. My car is dead, it's gonna cost $2500 to fix, and me and my parents are gonna have to go to the shop tomorrow and find out what my options are.
