Oh this is so nice, but Jay has waaay too much stuff o_O

    [/ QUOTE ]

Lol - his walls have almost more toys on them (MINT IN BOX! MINT IN BOX!) than the shop I ran...

Hmmm.... I have a batch of stuff still unopened. I'm never gonna play/post them.... hmmmmmm.... Oh JAAAA-AAAAYYYYY! Wanna see what I've got?!

Okay, since it is obviously only affecting me, can someone repost links to the images Ex Libris posted? Unless I quote her message, which reveals the HTML, the links in her posts all point to the main Photobucket page, not to the pics she actually linked to (and if I try pasting the links from the HTML code it just times out trying to pull up the images).

    Thanks!

The pics are still timing out. It may just be my work PC, which I think is using a tin can and string to connect to the Internet. I'll check when I'm home. Thanks again, though.

If you're at work, your job network doubtless has a block in place for image hosting places.

And here you can see the lead developer in it's natural environment. Note the cluttered nest it's built for itself. See the hostility in it's eyes as you approach the glass too closely. Remember kids, never feed the developers.

Unless you offer them a small plastic toy or fresh hot fast food.

Raw steak often works as well.

Or the hint of pr0n, but that's not always gonna get the response you want... o.0

    Moving Day!

Oh and cots. There must be a room with cots in it, for when they're staying overnight to work on those bug fixes.

    Moving Day!

    Congrats!

No wonder we didn't get raffles for 'tours of the studio'.
  6. Retail Retali8r's Holiday Duds

They work for me. I like that outfit a lot.

And Jetsam A character I don't play as often but I like that style too. She's all muffly.

very nice discovery! Too bad my furries are oriented towards rodents.

The long mask might work for those too. They definitely make great bird beaks.

What a fantastic new use for that small mask though!! Wow!

    100 in 100

I'm definitely planning on a few of these. Hurrah!
  9. .... Maybe if you have the patience to wait for NC's HIRING SPREE to pay off, you'll see your bug fixes. Fixes I might add were being HINDERED by Cryptic's involvement so far as everyone can tell.

Climb down from the high horsey please.

Everyone from the game came WITH the deal. Statesman (as has been frequently said here before, because people seem not to notice/recall) was *already off* the City project long before this time. Everyone who was on it at the time of the sale CAME WITH the deal.

Kudos for Cryptic's original work. But honestly: they're on something else, they were always on something else, and City Of was rapidly becoming the red-headed-stepchild in that family. Now it's the ONLY child in the family (twins in fact) and the family has much more time to devote to its well being.

THAT is worth noting, and voting for, in my opinion.
  10. formalwear?

    tightywhities?

Swimsuit? (he floats like a rock! badum-bum!)

.... um, i dunno! Give some more background maybe? Historical reasons why his costumes are those 3 already and where he's headed?
  11. It's not a puzzle. It's for people with insect eyes. They see it just fine
  12. Heh heh heh I wish that the most recent "Manticore" fan art might have found its way into that first article.... heeeeee.

    Good issue all around!
  13. It only let me vote once, period. Logging on tells me "thank you for your vote", and it's impossible to log a vote without loggin on for me. Dunno how anyone else is voting 10 times or not logged on.
  14. After having met the guy at the Meet N Greet, all this takes on such a wonderful glow... (Because he's pretty hawt, actually)

Do we think we can actually beat WoW in some of those?

    [/ QUOTE ]

If everyone in the Protector forum hears about it, of course we can. We're rabid like that
  16. While I'm waiting for my one character Trickster's Jackalope to hit 40 before using this option on him, I do have a lowbie in his SG that is bird-based.

It was adequate before, but ... With the Jester Long mask, and the Enforcer leggings, Thunderbird's Cry looks AWESOME. It's a little difficult to see the enforcer legs, because of the lack of good lighting in Icon. :/ Now I just need to be on that account for another 13 months, and he'll have his pretty wings.... o.0

I tried using the Jester legging option but it turned out too shiny - though the diamond shape reminds me of feathering. If we could have different coloring options for the pattern itself (ie: ON the diamonds themselves, not 'over' the texture) we could make better birdies.
  17. Yup it's true, already got mine...

I do feel bad, though, because some folks already booted their extras. They'll still get some, but not twice like others. Ah well, it's a silly oops of a gift, I don't see why anyone'd complain about a second freebie. (hopes. I hopes.)
  18. Uh, no.

The small ones will remain because the point of having a supergroup is not always "just to be able to teleport" somewhere. Sometimes, it's because *you like the people you play with*. Or, you have common interests. Or, you've got a one-person SG to keep your base-building skills honed.
  19. Woo Woo!!

    *tosses up a 10, waits...*

It just reminded me, having read the CS, that I need to get my base stuff organized so my base can be looked at. Though which one... my all for fun Pirates base, or one of my actually functional ones...
  20. I think people are too busy making new characters to pad supergroups
  21. Why thank you for your lovely backhanded -- oh wait, no it was just an insult.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't keep asking. I'm saying that this ridculous sense of "deserving to know" is a bit over the top. Shoot a PM to one of the rednames. Obviously.

You'll freaking find out when you find out. Losers, winners, whoever. Sorry if that's bugging the crap out of you 2 or 3 people - but it's certainly not bothering me.

if I eat vince's heart, will I gain his power and skills?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Possibly.

But you will also most likely lose your contact list.

    o.o eeeew.

I'm still trying to figure out how a meet & greet trumps (and continues to trump, days after the event) an official, 3rd annual CoH contest.

Have things gotten so elitist that hob-nobbing is more important than stated deadlines on something that involves the whole community?

    ----------------------------------"

    [/ QUOTE ]

    You could have gone.

The devs were there because the community *enjoys their presence*. If you find this to be annoying, I find the attitude you're taking (hey, I entered too, and have been waiting just as long as everyone else) to be sour grapes.

They don't have to run an event like either the Meet n Greet OR the costume contest *at all*. They don't have to give anyone presents or prizes or door gifts or anything. *they do*.

They've just settled into their new digs. You ever move? You ever move *an entire office*? This happening concurrently with I11 being on test and then live, the acquisition by NC going public.... chill out.
  24. I want to say yet again, what a great event.

PLEASE have more. Make them bigger, in better venues, a little more expected planning (like having globals on the name tags, server preference maybe, etc). But they're well worth having more and more of.

And again as a vetran of 26 years of San Diego Comic Cons: PLEASE have a big room there. A BIG ROOM. Not a corner of one small floor section, mashed up next to Blizzard and whoever else. A place for your own games to shine. Given that the SDCC is the biggest of its kind in the Western World, that should give you a bigger base to draw from when enlisting new players and reaching your existing audience.

So in other words: MOAR PLEASE!
