  2. I don't see why more powers couldn't simply be added to the pool.
Cottage rule in effect? Can't replace powers? Then don't. Whats wrong with having more than two level 6 powers? Or more than two level 14 ones?

Add in a short range 'blink' power for level 6, and then maybe an upgraded version at level 14 that has an AoE effect a la Shield Charge (as in its a pseudo pet, NOT that it does damage like SC )
  3. I guess personal taste comes into it a lot, because I'd never even consider a Crab build that skipped most of hte lowbie trademark powers

These are the two builds I'm using for my Crab, Operative King. She's pretty capable of laying down a world of hurt, even without Set IOs.

I will be along shortly. If he annoys you, kill him. If he does it again, kill him slower and more painfully."

She seemed to consider the matter settled at that, for the two carried their captive off without another word. The Captain, however, intended to have quite a few more, looking up at Quicksilver as she nonchalantly requested, "If you have any data on them, we'd appreciate if you uploaded a copy. It'll be much faster than going back and forth out loud. In addition..."

Meanwhile, the armored figure Ineloo took the suit's helmet into hand and removed the Kazbek headwear. The thus-revealed Tsaiv, her skin nearly a lime-green hue in contrast to Captain Kalkartova's more dulled bluish tone, smiled gently down to the halfing, giving her an appreciate nod.

"I'll be fine." she told Ineloo, "But thank you for the offer. Pardon my ignorance, but for what does GPR stand?"

"...which is why I would recommend you go to their office in the sector called Galaxy City with these two." Oxana finished to Quicksilver with the subdued motion of a hand toward Kri and Ineloo, "You'll still have complete access to our local network, so it'll be like none of us ever left your side..."
As Silver smiled and waved back to Ineloo, he was caught a little offguard by the Captain's comments.

"Wait...invasion? Like, take over the world invasion?" he asked, still sounding disbelieving. Worst case scenario, he'd have to play it cool until he could get some actual backup and point out just where these guys were. Hopefully there was just a culural misunderstand here...and not something as bad as the Decepticon prescence.
  5. Heh. The calm

    and not so calm

Paladin Father Alexander 'Bayonet' Anderson, the weapon of Vatican Section XIII, Iscariot

    Amen
  6. The man chuckled, sitting forward and offering a white gloved hand to them both. Aside from the long grey jacket he wore, and the silver cross around his neck, his gloves were of particular note for the crosses and words emblazoned on them. On the right hand were the words "Jesus Christ is in Heaven". On the left "Speak with the Dead." And, of course, the clerical collar.

"Derek, aye? Good name," he said with a smile. "As fer me...Father Alexander Anderson. Here by divine providence or hellish intervention or even science gone bad. Still, it could be worse," he added with a grin, "At least the heathen scum here don' know me. Yet."

So, why is striving to make everything better as much as possible a bad thing? I ask that honestly, because I know I'd be trying ti hunt down as many niggles as possible in something I made. Mind you, I am obscenely perfectionist when it comes to art and such

You want silly looking? How about a melee attack that does damage after the character has run fifty feet down a hall? (the various Assassin's Strikes.) If we're talking "Time makes that look silly," that would be FAR higher on the priority list. Or maybe the magical homing boulders that will follow a superspeeding/teleporting character down halls and around corners.
While I hate the homing boulders, and have done since my first run of the Hollows, I can't see any way of making this NOT happen with the game engine and mechanics we have. Not without utterly neutering AS to the point of uselessness. And that would be baaaad.

"You two, mind ya language. It's nae right to go cussing like that, not at your age. And ye're nae old enough to be hanging onto weapons, either. For shame."

He sat up, pushing his glasses back up with one hand.
"And aye, would be nice to know who ye are...and where I am, for that matter," he added with a faint smile.

  13. Making the Notices/Favours do SOMETHING past Alpha is a good idea. (No, shards do not count with their atrocious conversion rate)

Anyway, most of the CoV zones have some group based out of the zone that pretty much vanishes once you leave it. I never see people wanting more Cage Consortium or Scrapyarders after Sharkhead, Mooks after Port Oakes, or Contaminated after Mercy, what makes Goldbrickers so special that they should have more content?
Because the Goldbrickers are cool and sound like they have a cool story.

Miners/Workers are just cheaty haXX0rs with burn patches
  15. Goldbrickers need a larger level range and much more fleshing out. Same as the Luddites. Two great groups, horribly neglected. Corolax at least get a SF, I guess.
  16. Why even have 'teams'? Why not just make it Invasion waves of NPCs versus the PCs in the middle?

That sounds a lot more fun, and has the possibility for more unofficial challenges (survive against X waves, etc)

"Good boy." Oxana remarked down at the man, Slavic accent only further chilling tone of voice, "You should thank him. I'd have done worse to you."

This wasn't entirely true, but she didn't per se lie either. The transport's counterintelligence ware had some nasty means of dealing with signals and systems they didn't approve of, and a good bunch more than half of them caused decidedly more pain than an EM pulse. Not that the Captain would've used those. She would've settled for breaking some bones.

"Autobot Quicksilver." she respectfully addressed the Cybertronian, "It seems we've a common enemy. I request the transfer of your prisoner to be subject to thorough interrogation."

Kri stood silently by while crewmen clad in Kazbek armor stepped closer to take custody of the Protector should the Captain's request be granted. They wouldn't take him from Quicksilver by force. If the man managed to do anything disagreeable however...well, they had no qualms about what sort of force they'd use then...
"Eh, sounds good t'me," the Autobot replied, picking the Protector up by the cape and dropping him in front of the crewmen. The man slumped and, although he'd be begrudging and shove at restraints slightly, it was clear he wasn't going to put up a fight. He did, however, remain stoically silent.

"So, eh....you guys planning an invasion or something?" Silver half joked, jerking a thumb at the encampment. Honestly, however, he was more worried about another prescence on Earth.
    The prescence of a Decepticon...
  19. They need a TP with a very short (instantaneous) animation for combat TP. Something Wesker-esque.
  20. I still want to cram more parts into my mechanised minion to crank everything up to full damn you, money...
  21. The priest stepped through, simply following the others and their actions. He raised an eyebrow at the touch pad, before withdrawing one ornately decorated glove and placing a weathered hand on the pad. Whatever scans were being done had trouble with him; there was human in there, but also something scientific. The build was entirely foreign, however.

Stepping through, the man made his way to the sofas and collapsed himself into one, restings his hands on his chest as he leaned back and shut his eyes.
"Well...could'a been worse. A bit showy, but...et's comfy enough," he said with a faint smile, all signs of the mania he had shown during the battle earlier completely gone.
He still lacked a name to a face, however...

Second, before the rumor mill starts churning, this isn't about a server merge or going “server-less”, either -- the server communities are genuinely important to you and to us. We have good, old-fashioned business reasons to be more efficient with the servers. If you could make your car get a couple miles more to the gallon every day, you'd probably do it, too. Now imagine you can make your car *twice* as efficient. This is kinda like that.
No, it's not a server merge. No, they are not going F2P. No, it's STILL not a good idea, and the vast majority of the playerbase would like quit in understandable disgust at this game being turned into F2P tripe like that 'Other' Super hero MMO.
