Articulate Horror dude, pretty dark; I really like the pale green color used.

Hi Shautru, I have not done any others. I started one but grew frustrated with it and took a break. Since then I have been busy with RL work and went back to my first love FFXI. As soon as I can finish my project at work I can get back to photomaniping. (lol there has to be a better name or term for this...) Anyway I can post some updates on the one I started tonight or tomorrow.
-
I would strongly advise against any cleaning chemicals; something untested could damage or leave residue on your screen. (you know that rainbow oily swirls)
Just turn the monitor off. then take a hot washcloth wring it out good so its not dripping wet, but it is hot/warm moist. wipe down the screen don't be afraid of applying pressure if there is something on the screen.
Screen should have trances of water but not running down the screen. Take a dry soft towel dry off the screen or paper towel. Make sure there is no water in the seems where the monitor screen meets the front monitor panel.
I suggest getting a can of compressed air for periodic blow-offs. -
As GreyMist said I like the contrast with the red sky; moon is cool too. good lighting/shadowing.
-
Hey Gill check it..
I did this back in 2000ish. When I seen your Gill Bates FC soap it reminded me of one I did for my old Unreal Tournament clan back in the day.

Graver,
I liked it since post one. This came out freakin great! -
That is some serious skill you have there.
Your really good at faces. Not to take away from anything else, but our faces really stand out as superb. You capture the expression's very well and your eye for body detail is amazing. Impressive work. -
The car part made me Laugh out loud; I was chuckling through the whole vid. Nice job!
-
Graver that is really cool man. I like the perspective and pose you used.

That was freaken hilarious! good job!
The use of emotes and story movement was really well done. -

Roxstar, I would encourage you to try it. I can help as much as I can over the web.
To answer your question, First I did not use the whole picture of the ships as a texture only part of a ship. Yes and that is right you change the layer to what ever works best. In TA's case I used Multiply or overlay depending on the look/lighting I was looking for. But if the texture you are using looks better under hardlight, softlight, colored, or vivid, etc.. then use it that way. I normally try them all..lol
LOTS of trial and error. -

Thanks AzA! Any artist will tell you it really makes you feel good knowing that your art inspires someone else to be creative. Good job on this photo manip
[/ QUOTE ]No man thank you. Seeing your work's in progress kept me motivated and your site updates really helped. Your work definitely the spark behind mine on this one. -

oh?
is that open for me too?
Aza that photo manip is really top notch I love it!
Sent a PM just in case!

Thanks, I got your PM, Looking over a few things I think TA is do-able. I have seen enough TA to have ideas. TA is very symmetrical so that helps big time. I think we need to thank George Lucas, Suzuki Power Sports, and probably General Motors. lol that Photo-manip talk for material. -

Thanks Man!
As for your hero, I can give it a go.
I need a few things from you.
A) who do you think your hero looks like in RL (aka someone famous would help. Only need it for the face detail.)
B) Tell me more about your suit. is it tights or metal/crome type like mine? ScreenShots would help. Do you see the head wings as one piece in your minds eye?
C) Anything particular your looking for in the event?
D) Anything else you can tell me about your hero helps. The more I understand how you would see him in RL the better he will come out and be personable. -
Those are great! I am partial to the dual wield katana pic as my fav, second by the fishing one.
-
Juggertha, Katfood, thank you!
Reiko, I like PS it is very resourceful you can do something 10 different ways to get the same result. Thank you for commenting!
Celsia, Nothing is hand drawn in the traditional sense. The body was done in parts, sculpted using the Liquefy tool. There is 46 visible working layers. I used the parts of the chrome car for the pieces of the body. HERE is a working cut with some of the layers turned off (I.E body lighting, belt, katana).
PMD, Thanks for the kind words, I was interested in what you would say. I have read your other posts on others work's.
CuppaSquirrels, LOL, my new catch phrase -
