HAHAHAHAH cherub wings would be perfect Don't change too much of the dialog, it was hilarious!
Especially the 9Lives girl... heh. -
This is absolutely 5-star material. I dearly hope that the devs play and enjoy it as much as I did.
-
Hehe, a short but very good issue!
As for the "sending people to the forums" I do that all the time. There are plenty of newcomers to the game, and I do my best to get them to come here and check things out. Or, returning players who have no clue what /gmotd might mean, or that there are already extensive notes about everything - everything - that's passed while they were playing somewhere else.
And LOL CHARLIE! -

You need to take that screenshot, so his feet are actually hidden behind some shrubbery or rubble. That and the big frikk'n guns would make it perfect!

Wait, wait, and he needs a girl with a waist the width of a toothpick and about 1/4 his height to be dangling nearby him. -
On Protector there've been a couple, Cap Myotis ran one which I think I was the only person who knew about it at the time and showed up to accurately participate, a "Motorcycle gang" style theme.
I like the idea someone posted a couple days ago too, about themed groups - even if it's just for a single contest, having a group or sg party show up all in a theme is fun.
Long, long ago, I ran into a group doing Wizard of Oz, very well I might add. -
Heheh, I get the feeling poor Ryan there is the odd man out in this family Nice work!

Free is still best. You get essentially the same amount of stuff - comments, info, etc - without having to pay. Plus, you can just adblock the ads that they DO stick in your gallery, I haven't seen ads on the site since blocking them with my ff browser's blocker.
The way that the admin treat people there, I won't buy a subscription. They'd have to freaking pay ME to do so. Yes, subbed people get polling features and some other doodads, but the insulting behavior that I've always encountered has never made me WANT to give them money to reward them. -
I love the Glitter Discoball vampire dig.
-
Of course, right AFTER I'd had to set up my visa over there on paypal, they announce this lol.

Maybe.... put the image on the same drive? Or consult with the program's creator/site? He's really quite good at this stuff, so hopefully Vista isn't a stopping block for it.

I don't mind the new one, but i just don't really care for dictating what someone else does in their pic, nor someone else to mine, eh?
-
I don't use Photoshop, I use Paintshop Pro (8)(the pre-corel version, since the post-corel versions suck) and have only just started using layers for my work.
Color flats are useful in some cases, but I think it depends on what you want to do with the piece. Some folks color and shade each figure in a complex scene separately, while others do flats whole and then go in to shade the whole thing... Everyone does it differently.
When color-matching is important, say in a comic which has panels, and not just a single piece of art, flats are something that should be in use by everyone ever. Make sure you have the right colors *before* shading, instead of realizing halfway through your page "omg that guy's arm bracer was supposed to be RED not GOLD!" -
Very reliable, and even the older version (which I still use) is excellent.

That is truly awesome. So our characters really ARE in the Matrix...

It really varies based on the artist and what they're best at. some folks do quick, sketchy but fun work overnight, while others are methodical and do detailed tratitional or digital paintings taking months.
Know who you're buying from, at any rate, and *ask* them how long it typically takes, so you have a good basis to say "hey it's been way longer than you said". -
I use plain old ballpoint pens. Well, Pilot pens, and on occasion fine tip Sharpies.
It really depends on your pencil style. Some pencils can go straight into color - MOST cannot.
If you've got a really loose, open pencil style you'll want to find a nibbed pen or a brush to ink, but those are both *extremely* hard to learn to use. If you've already got experience with either of them (caligraphy, painting) they might be easier but I've never had any success with them myself.
On the other hand if you've got a tight, clean pencil style you might want to just use ballpoints or rapidographs, technical pens. They're not cheap, but if you have fine details and a very, very careful hand, they are exactly like darkening a pencil line.
My own work, I pencil and ink on paper but when I scan and color it's pretty much only for internet web adoptables and animals, tattoos in real life, etc. So my work is way different than most "comic" styles. Try some pens, some nibs, a brush. Everyone does it differently
I don't ink with a tablet but some folks really know what they're doing. I simply prefer "real" inks to digital ones myself. -
How is it in ANY way a bigger benefit - notice the changes to PVP travel powers? Hm?
So... You get suppressed at level 6 instead of level 14.
Sheesh. It is not a game-breaking power to be able to *travel farther*.
You still have to wait for all your other power slots to open.
And hell - I'll be getting this for my birthday in July, and *I will deserve it*. It's a PERK of having paid for the game all this time, and enjoyed it all the way. I might even manage not to bork up another respec, or use the alt builds on some of my toons, in favor of these changes.
And to the 60s who claim it's a bad idea: you don't have to take them. You can still build your character the same way as always. Thus, eliminating any moral dilemma you might have from imbalances...
