Because where I stay under Atlas with my 50s, I'm seeing people including myself helping LOTS of lowbies. In fact, on Victory when I was just logging on another account to get the badge before they took away my freevac, a total random stranger with a 42 (and no vet badges...) dropped 150k on me. He did it because he was a nice person.

So... wherever it is that you might be haunting may not have a friendly atmosphere, but the places I've been generosity and helpful vets are everywhere.

Powerleveling is STUPID and I'm glad that the devs moved to stop it.

There is no such thing as a 1-22 grind. I can level SOLO 1-22 in perhaps 3 days. Whatever it is that you and your friends are doing to produce a "grind" out of reading fun starter stories and moving through the great game background, I don't even want to know. You're missing a treat.

If you can pay for a year (like I did, on one account, the others I have had in the past are all dead except last week's freevac) then you can save up the ten bucks and move your character.

Stop crying. Play the game, or stop playing the game, and do something else.

It would probably be easier to have such things uploaded prior to a play session - but again I think that the actual load screens like those are server-generated, not client-side. If it is client side, I would imagine it'd be a lot of fun to put your own screenies in, like with the Splasher.

It would likely take a lot more work than you think, to insert "your" character in "their" background for a brief still shot or even (perhaps especially) a cutscene-style load screen. The burden on the systems running the game (yours and mine) would be pretty immense. Plus, given their cutscene technology, you already can get INTO a cutscene if you do it right, but your timing has to be perfect, and that implies you're already loaded into the scene.

It'd be nice to have a variety of different load screens other than the same ones we've had all along - I don't THINK that the Splasher does load screens, those are filled in by the server I think? Someone correct that if it's wrong.

Just shortly before I had the game, and knew that my friends were going to be getting it for me, I actually had a weird little dream about MAKING a character in the game and playing her. She was able to change into a bird, but was also able to sizeshift... Her strength remained the same even as a bird... Her name was Bullfinch.

Of course, I tried to see what was going on in the mad scientist's lab in the swamp (perez?) nearby, and I needed to fly over there. My friend said, "why don't you change into an eagle and use their vision?" And I was like, "I haven't got that power yet..."
