I've always wanted a "Strategist" or "Tactician" buff set. The closest thing is the Leadership Mk. II powers for VEATs.

I haven't tried it myself, but in Theory a Kin/Arch/Psy should be able to take down spawns pretty handily with Mass Hypnosis > Fulcrum Shift > RoA. Of course getting up to that point solo could be a bit difficult, but you won't be wanting for teams if you're a Kin.

Brute is my fave by far. Gonna be capped to S/L with one in Invince, and DP WILL be perma.
It's VERY survivable, I'll be taking med pool for those "Lucky shots" or exotic toxic/psi damage.
I'll be dropping tons of cash on him, and he'll indeed be a god.
Just strikes me as odd that Invul is seeing such little discussion as of late, tis all -
Okay, so I've played most of the hero ATs to 50, my Blaster still needs a few levels, but I've never gotten a Scrapper very far far before. I just recently gave it another shot and recently got a Kat/Invuln to SO levels and I'm really starting to enjoy it. Think I've finally found a build I can take all the way. I've still got a bit to go until I hit 50, but I like to plan my builds out ahead of time so I can start collecting the pieces I need ahead of time. So, I was hoping the fine folks at the Scrapper forums could help me out here.
I have been wondering if I have enough accuracy for my attacks and enough recovery to keep the build going. I had to keep the build a bit tight in order to hit all the defense caps that I wanted with one foe in range, so it was hard to build for other bonuses. I'm also curious as to how much this build might cost, since I haven't taken stock of the market in a while. I have a couple hundred million on hand, so knowing how much more I need to stock up will help. Any general advice or fixes would be more than welcome as well. Thanks in advance for any help.

I can say with confidence that Bots/Traps is an absolute beast at taking down AVs. The only thing it is missing is some kind of endurance recovery and a real heal. But I still managed just fine with Aid Self and going Staminaless. I took down my first AV, Barracuda, in the 20s. Calystix proved to be too much for me at that level, though.

Quick question for a few of you. How do you generally build your SS/FAs for survivability? Been gone for a while, and when I made mine AE farming was still the big thing so I was able to use him against weak fire only mobs and was designed to do so. So, he has capped fire res and nothing else in the way of protection aside from base resists and a quick heal.
I'm able to run the demon ship farm okay at +0/x8 with no bosses, but I'm pretty sure things could be more profitable if he wasn't so squishy. -
I'd have to say Brutes, most definitely. In particular, any WP Brute. My DB/WP probably had the easiest time soloing of any character I've ever made, though my Bots/Traps was made in the day of having to resummon during each zone so I might have different opinions now.

50 fully IOd SS/Fire/Mu runs +0/x8 no bosses on the "Demon Boat" map. Quickest way to get the most rewards. Haven't used him for much else lately.
My new Claws/Elec is in her late teens now and has been doing well on -1/x5 since picking up Lightning Field and Spin. I like AoE. -
Not to be a broken record, but I used Seekers to open just about all my battles. Summon them inside the mob, rush in as the seekers are attacked and drop your Poision Trap, followed by Acid Mortar. Throw down caltrops if you like, or just sit back and watch your Bots decimate the debilitated spawn. I threw some Provoke around for good measure to keep the attention on my bodyguarded self.

A high recharge based SS Brute. Nothing beats Rage and Fury fueled Footstomp. Add Shields for best results.

I've never really tried to put a Scrapper build together before, and this one is giving me heaps of trouble. I think I might be trying to accomplish too many things at once and not really accomplishing any of them. I'm also not exactly sure what is going to be necessary to get the job done. I've tried to build for softcapped def with a build that can run the SK-CK-SK-CAK chain. The build I've managed to muster up doesn't get softcapped AoE, and isn't able to keep Hasten perma so the the chain isn't able to be kept up. I don't even know how I'm sitting endurance wise. I don't know if I'm even going the right direction here, is it possible to pump out enough DPS to down AVs with a lesser attack chain? Do I need to be worried about maxing out my AoE defense for most AVs? I'll gladly accept any wisdom the scrapper forumites can offer, especially if you can show me a more inexpensive build.

Do keep in mind that mids has not been updated in quite some time. It's still mostly accurate, but it is missing key things like the Dominator update. With further changes coming down the pike it will soon be even more out of date unless someone picks up the project.

Response is a bit snippy, but I can't say I'd do any differently. I just got Force Bubble last night on my new FFer and I'm eager to try it out. I'd say I hope I don't run into many sentiments like this, but I was just on a team last night with people complaining about using Energy Torrent to knock mobs into corners.

Glad to see that other people actually run this combo. I've loved the synergy that rad's -def offers to the plethora of effects Dark Miasma offers. Nice guide, maybe more people will start to see how awesome this combo is.
