Yet annother destination, Hawken
Actually I just showed some footage of it yesterday too.

is it pvp focused like Mechwarrior online?

From the little bit I played, yes, thankfully.

so basically
its mechwarrior: exteel
interesting
is it just pvp though? that was the worst point of exteel for me, even with my giant hardon for mechs.
I'd love to roleplay as a mech pilot or something to that effect
I don't know, because like you, I haven't dug into it - I just jumped into the beta one day. Does PVP make it difficult to roleplay?

usually pvp-only games have minimal...everything else. I mean Exteel had a glorified waiting lobby between matches and once the games start you dont have time to do anything else besides survive.
It's pretty a trivial request
the game looks fun though! and if the customization is as deep as they are proclaiming then I might have to pop in and play
I don't know about anyone else but pvp focused games tend to be rather "twitch" oriented, which puts people who have slower reflexes, like me at a disadvantage.

Looking back over some articles on Hawken at RPS, there was some talk about single player.

Just heard about this game. A F2P with cash shop MMO in the flavor of Mechwarrior.
Here's the game's info page.
