Incase people are wondering why i am posting this here... it is because NON-VIP's cannot post in the announcement/discussion area
So that shutdown means 4 AM EST on 11/30, yes? So the effective last day is the 29th?

Hell, not sure, this is what was posted up.
Just sometimes I wish that people would avoid timing stuff for midnight of a given day, or give it in 24 hour time.
Hell, 23:59 (or 11:59pm for those people who like am/pm splits) would be more sensible, and give *no* error for confusion.
I suspect the legal doodads and jiggery pokery mean the closedown would have to be the very end of the month at the physical location of the servers or head office, i.e. Midnight on the night of the 30th. Seems logical.
Which would mean 00.00 Dec 1st PDT...or 9pm Eastern I think, or 8am BST, except BST will have gone back to GMT by then, so 7am...oh, but will US time be on daylight savings by then too? So is PDT the same as now, or...uh...maybe it---

Actually, you know what? Screw it - when midnight hits west coast America on Nov 30th, that will be shutdown time. So when that deadline looms, use this site -

Me, I will be planning for a Midnight closure as it rolls over into december, BUT i will make sure that everything else is done by end of 29th, and then that leaves just 30th to get the fun stuff/rallies/blowing hell up in a handbasket
And getting drunk
Cant forget getting drunk on game closure day (I did it twice for TR, I shall do it again for CoX)

But I am curious. Why are these events, which typically last a couple of weeks, only going for a weekend apiece?

In this case it doesn't matter though. Heaven knows I won't be getting any sleep that day until after the killswitch.
Just as an update: This has been clarified as to the date and time of closure:

11:59 PM 30th November - Pacific
00:59 AM 1st December - Mountain
01:59 AM 1st December - Central
02:59 AM 1st December - Eastern
And for the EU players!
07:59 AM 1st December - GMT/UTC
08:59 AM 1st December - GMT+1/UTC+1
Rest, work it out from there!
