Agreed. His stance on web comics has always been (not an actual quote) "if you can't make a living just doing your web comic, go do something else". Harsh yes but very business like.

well, **** that guy.

I had no opinion on him previously, now he's made an enemy.

Not that he gives a ****, but these little things do add up over time.
For some, the immediacy of social media is a double edged sword.

There was more than I can remember right now... but 3 names come to my mind:

Neil Gaiman

Laurel K. Hamilton

Mercedes Lackey

Not only they are famous and wonderful authors, but also showed their support on twitter.

And Mercedes Lackey went even far... she sent a letter to NCSoft CEO offering herself to promote the game without asking payment for it.

You 3 are... AWESOME!
Great stuff.

The offer from Mercedes Lackey is amazingly amazing.

::goes buys more books from all 3::

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

Kieron Gillen also commented on CoH's shutdown. I don't spend much time on Twitter, and barely understand it, but when someone told me it was the #1 trend or something during the rally, I had to go look and see wth that meant.

His was one of the results I saw. I think I retweeted it, but like I said, I don't really understand Twitter, or spend enough time with it to learn. Anyway, I'm ChrisEmoses on there if you're really interested.

And if you don't know who he is, he's a Marvel Comics writer. He came into my sphere based on the hilarious Journey Into Mystery comics - Young Loki is such a lovable scamp.

Also... Scott Kurtz didn't actually say anything negative about City of Heroes in that quote... He offers condolences and says it's time to move on. He doesn't support "the fight," or whatever, but he did support the game at one time (I believe he did some comic strips about it, right?). So I don't think he's deserving of the bit of venom in this thread.

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

PVPOnline's strips came out back when the strip was actually about games and his booklet in the collector's edition was a contract job, just like the guest author mission was.

This. We might not agree with him, I know I don't, but he's not against our cause either. That's alright.

I drew this for my friend Ninja Earl. I aspire to be a concept artist.
