Did the Game Suffer Because It Lacked a Greater Presence in Korea?

Thread title says it all. I just can't imagine why this game is getting the chop but not something like Aion which has a much smaller player base here (but has better visibility than CoH in Korea).

Anyone know for sure?

I've been wondering that myself. I mean the playerbase - PAYING playerbase - here feels much bigger than Aion or Lineage II.

Maybe its because Aion or Lineage never really took off here. In Q2 CoH was 44% of NA and EU's revenue. That implies that Aion and Lineage was the other 56% give or take. To me that seems to indicate, when compared the the total revenues world wide Aion and Lineage I and II make, simply doesn't have the same level of popularity.

Perhaps cultural expectations in an MMO makes something like CoH unpopular in Korea while Aion and Lineage here, doesn't share in it's popularity in Korea.

Don't forget Guild Wars, that was popular here in the states.

However I think (not really sure) that the quarterly reports kept showing CoH as making very little money. I don't know if that was net, gross, or what. But I suspect that the low number had something to do with it.
