First off, welcome back!

Since you only left in 2010, you were here for a good deal of the stuff that's out. However, you have missed the game going free-to-play, obviously, along with the changes to the Paragon Market and account types that that brings.

You were here for Inventions, I take it, so I don't need to cover that, but you're probably missed out on the whole Incarnate thing. However, I am not sure if you are VIP or not, and since the Incarnate content is VIP-only, I'm not sure if I'd be wasting your time with that or not.

While I am sure that you will get a lot of good answers here, I am compelled to give you a link: www.paragonwiki.com

That is a GREAT source of information, and you can see exactly what you missed out on there.

ParagonWiki: Issues

Yes you missed the post 50 content additions, called Incarnates, that's subscription only post Issue 21 when the game went to it's hybrid F2P/Subscription model.

They've also tweaked the various power pools so they're available early including rearranging the order of the powers in the four travel pools so you can take Fly/Teleport/Super Speed/Super Jump at Level 4. Also now everyone gets all the Fitness powers at Level 2. Characters that took some Fitness powers before that change was made will need to respec to get all of them. Also the Ancillary and Patron Power Pools now have a 5th power and are available at Level 35 now.

Galaxy City has been destroyed and is now the Tutorial for both Blue and Red sides. Dark Astoria is now Level 50 only and is for Incarnate content.

Coming back as a non-subscriber will have limits on what was available to you. It can include lockouts of certain ATs, use of IOs and consignment house, type of drops, INF limit, which types of chat are available and some mission content in the newer zones. See ParagonWiki: Account for an overview.

You also may have missed the graphics engine upgrade referred to as Ultra Mode which added reflections and improved shadows/lighting to the game IF your rig can handle it. This was part of a multistage rollout of Going Rogue, which revolves around starting and playing your character on Praetoria Earth. It also added the ability to go from Hero to Villain and vice versa as well as starting your character with any of the stock ATs, Hero or Villain. Praetoria was designed to show off the new Ultra Mode graphics as well as a set of zones that aren't divided by War Walls.

Welcome back.

Minor clarification: Characters of any level and subscription status can enter the zone and get credit for defeats and day job progress, but only Incarnates can access the mission contacts.
