I like Snowstorm, too, but I couldn't fit it in. Also, it tends to draw aggro to me, and I do whatever I can to avoid aggro directed at me. Flash I find useful, and it was a good place for a purple set. Thunderclap is mainly there to hold the purple Stun set, as it only stuns minions. With my playstyle, I tend to clear out the minions first. Thunderclap does, however, set up Containment so that I can use Frostbreath and get full Containment.

I had been using ice storm but will try frostbreath out on the working build. Not generally a fan of cones but the higher damage might be nice. Gonna look to see how much i actually use snowstorm while working on purples. This toon has yet to run any of the ssa since he hasn't seen playtime for about 3 years until this week. Unfortunately he doesn't have any merits either since arcs only started rewarding them after he had obtained 50.
I find my Ill/Storm gets plenty of drops just running him through missions on 0x8. It might be more efficient to knock that down a little so I can go faster, but I find the big mobs more fun. And as Local_Man said the SSAs give great rewards.
If I may go off on a tangent here, Local_Man, I always find your posts to be a treasure trove of useful information, so I'll add my thanks to Starget's.
Anyway, welcome back, Starget, and I hope you enjoy your Illusion/Storm as much as I do mine. :-)
