I haven't been able to make it to the raids for the last few weeks, but a 'best of the best' raid sounds like it may be fun, I'm definitely going to try to be there most likely on my beam/time defender.
Thanks to everyone that helped make me a welcomed part of the community, and for giving me over 3 years of some of the best gaming I've been able to take part in. May the next game bring many friendships and maybe reconnect to some old CoH friends.

I, Talsor Vox, leader of the Talsorian Guard want to thank you for aiding us in suppressing the Rikti presence in the War Zone on a weekly basis. However, many of you have probably already heard that the Rikti have amassed enough forces to launch another invasion. Intel suggests that this invasion will occur within a week's time, most likely beginning this Friday. Once the dropships reveal themselves, members of the Guard will be leading squads across the city to fight back the Rikti, and we welcome any and all supers to join us in the fight. No matter your allegiance, we are fighting for the planet on which we all live.
For our regularly scheduled raid this coming weekend, the Guard is requesting that the strongest supers of the city and the isles join us in the War Zone. We hope to inflict a crippling blow to the Rikti morale and numbers, and will need the best to do so.
Until then, steel yourselves and protect your assets. The Rikti are coming.

TL;DR / Blunt version
The Talsorian Guard is requesting that anyone attending this week's raid (8/5/12), bring their best character along for the run. We want to end the invasion weekend with a bang, and the best way to do that (at least in our minds) is with a league full of powerful characters, leaving an fast and awesome trail of Rikti destruction across the War Zone. We hope you'll join us for it!
