Water Blast feedback (looking for)

I am trying to understand where water blast stand in term of damage and debuff efficiency.

All attacks seems pretty low DPA but I really dont know how much Tidal Power affects the overall dps. Hydro, Aqua bolt and Dehydrate looks standart/bad DPA for baster single target attacks; Water Jet is quite bad compared to other short range/long cooldown blaster attacks but the way it works with Tidal Power may change the deal (how much?).

Also how much extra damage Water Burst gets from each Tidal Powar stack, therefore in an AoE situation should I throw it on cooldown or wait for Tidal Power x3?

Wirlpool seems to be a perfectly standart "rain" power.

Steam Spray is as bad as Fire and Cold breathes.

Geyser looks very good but is maybe just close to futur crashless blaster nukes.

Geyser is gonna get a recharge cut along with all the other nukes in i24.

Water Blast is a set with high AoE and low ST, but great survivability.

Water's single-target damage is lower than some sets, but not by a huge margin. It's worth noting that Mids is showing the wrong numbers for Water Jet - it deals 122.62 for a level 50 Blaster, according to in-game numbers, not 87.2. (I suspect the 87.2 number was pulled from City of Data, where Enhanced Water Jet displays the Class_Minion_Pets damage scale by default, rather than Class_Blaster. This is probably also why Mids thinks the power deals the same damage for Blasters, Defenders, and Corruptors.) Plus, you can use it twice back-to-back.

Water Burst deals +25% damage when you have 3 stacks of Tidal Power, making its damage better than most similar powers in other sets, plus the guaranteed knockdown.

Steam Spray is MUCH better than Fire/Frost Breath. It has a significantly wider cone (50 degrees versus 30), a faster activation, and hits like a ton of bricks. Steam Spray averages only 4 damage less than Rain of Fire deals over its entire duration, and Steam Spray isn't a long DoT that enemies can just walk out of, not to mention recharging three times faster.

Geyser is outstanding, and it will get a lower recharge with the nuke changes in i24, but yes, relative to other nukes it will not be AS outstanding.

In the big picture, Water has middling-ish ST damage for a blast set, a self heal, decent soft control, and better AoE than Fire Blast. It is an excellent set overall.

I second Hopeling, especially the part about Steam Spray. It is SO MUCH BETTER than Fire or Ice cones that the comparison is not even remotely valid.

At level 33, I love my Water/Psy blaster on groups... Then can't bring myself to play more than one mission solo.

I'm happy with it. I've soloed enough throughout my time in the game.

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

my Water/Ice blaster Tsunami Ami Yumi has been a joy to play. As Chris said...certainly a thrill to play on teams...but have done a smidge of solo work. Actually soloed a +0/x3 freakshow mission last night...which is saying something for me since i never try that on blasters and i'm not an IO specialist (read: i have jack for defense). Did fall down once...but all in all handled it pretty well.

Edit: WHOOPS! Silly me. Had my difficulty setting listed in reverse.

My wife and I are currently playing a couple of Water Blasters (she is playing Water/Psi and I am Water/Ice). We are having an absolute blast. As Mad Grim stated, the Water set provides great survivability.
