Alpha slot drops

Hi all,

This may well be a dippy question - where do you get Alpha drops aside from bonding shards in normal content?

Running iTrials gives content for post Alpha slots and they use mutually exclusive components.

I've unlocked the Alpha and running itrials i can unlock and slot the others quickly but the Alpha is taking ages - also threads can't be converted to shards - not that I can find anyway.

Agge's answer is probably the best one, but if you are still interested in crafting your Alpha from Alpha Salvage:

Shards: Random drops from non-incarnate foes that are Minion class or higher (no Objects, Pets or Underlings), and con even-level before applying Level Shifts (if any).

Common Salvage: Convert from Shards, create Gr'ai Matter by converting Vanguard Merits at a Vanguard crafting station, select others as rewards from various TFs and Trials.

Uncommon Salvage: Create from a combination of Commons and Shards.

Rare Salvage (Notice of the Well): Complete the Weekly Strike Target (once per week per character) or complete the Mortimer Kal strike force and convert the temp power via your badges menu (once ever per character).

Very Rare Salvage (Favor of the Well): Create from two Notices of the Well and a number of Shards.

You can also burn astrals for shards at a 1 to 1 rate, which is cheaper than the 1 for 4 rate for threads (cheaper because it takes 20 threads to do a common thread component, and 4 shards for a common shard component).
