A few crashes since the June 29 patch

Not a stupid question but the answer is no. I make sure I'm leveled up all the way before respecing. Both times the game crashed while finishing a respec it did actually go through and when I logged back in I had 1 less respec available, my power trays were all a jumbled mess, and my powers and slots were set properly.
Stupid question. Are you respec'ing while needing to level up?

Thinking about it, it may be my graphics drivers. I have the latest I installed in June and it seems lately people have been having problems with nVidia drivers for some reason. My driver version is 301.42. Edit: Probably not the case at this point.
Respeced another character and AGAIN the game has crashed on me after clicking 'Yes' to confirm and finish it. That is the third character in the last few days this has happened on.
Hang on. If you have integrated video on the machine, just try running the game off that. Remove the GT 240 and try the game on the AMD IGP.
Yeah, its going to be slow and primative, but if it doesn't crash, it answers an important question.

Nope. All 3 of the characters I recently respeced, I replanned their builds in Mids before I did the summer event trail with them so I would be able to perform better. (I've been needing to do that anyway but kept putting it off.)
Question. You haven't slotted any of the new Universal Damage IOs in all of these builds have you?
|
All the of the characters I recently respeced are too low level to use any of the Overwhelming Force I had received on my other characters due to the minimum level requirement bug and my other characters being level 22 or so and up.
The character I respeced yesterday was level 11 when I respeced him. Even if I had mailed an overwhelming force I received from the event on a level 15 character, he would have still been too low level to use it (level 12 minimum for a Overwhelming force enhancement claimed on a level 15 character)
In case you're wondering, I'm maxed in Paragon Rewards tiers and have a total of 6 free respecs on each character and that is what I used, especially considering the 3 characters I respeced recently are all too low level to do the first respec trial.
Actually it's ATI integrated graphics. At this time I'm not convinced it's the graphics card and I have very limited space to work with in order to unplug everything from my comp to do that.

Well, this will answer that question. It answers the question that the GT 240 card is flaky or not.

You don't have enough room to unscrew out a GT240 card and stuff it into an anti static bag?
Given that thousands of people are playing the game with no issues (me included) probably eliminates the CoH program.
Well video card swap test is really your next step. Its free, it only costs you time and its fairly easy.

Room as in, I would have to pick my chair up and over my bed to get it out of the way, slide my computer armoire forward, climb over my bed to get behind it to unplug the cables because they're not long enough for me to pull the computer forward without having to move the armoire. Then I would be left with no room for my chair and I would be unable to play the game until I moved the armoire back. I wouldn't want to move it back only to have to pull it back forward to unplug and replug everything in the back of the computer if it turns out it wasn't a graphics card issue.

It is possible it's a driver issue and not anything wrong with the hardware. I updated to the latest drivers in June and it was only some time shortly after that I had the game crash. I do still have the previous version of the drivers/software installer I kept just in case. If I crash again I'll try reverting to the older drivers first and only swap from the video card to the onboard graphics as a last resort due to limited living space and the hassle to move furniture around. (my grandma didn't have a spare bedroom for me when I moved in a few years ago. So my 'bedroom' is the tiny dining area next to the kitchen.)
So after all of these crash posts, you haven't even tried reverting back to older drivers yet?

At this point I highly doubt it is my graphics card. And I don't think it's the drivers because I installed the latest version June 11, and I didn't start having problems until the most recent game patch on June 29.
