/Psi Dom Attack Question

Regarding the single target attacks for a /Psi Dom, what ones are the ones to go for to build an optimal single target attack chain? At a quick glance, Psi Dart looks like something you are forced to have but wouldn't want to use given its cast time and low damage.

Are you pretty much looking at a chain of Mind Probe, Subdue, and Mental Blast then?

Telekinetic Thrust is good as well. While the knockback can be annoying, against a single target it's not that bad, just aim for a wall. Heck, I slotted mine out with a knockback set (dirt cheap and came with 7.5% recharge) and I haven't had any problems. It's kind of entertaining to press a button and launch an enemy across the map. Most hard targets like AV's and GM's have high knockback resist anyways iirc, so it's not as big an issue.

That's pretty much how mine ended up, and it's not too bad.

I prefer to stay at range on my mind/psi dom. So my attack chain is Dominate, Levitate and Subdue. Though that may change if the snipe changes go through as expected.

It's NOT what most would consider optimal for high dps. But here's my reasoning:

1) Levitate gives me a source of non-psi damage so when I have to deal with robots and what not, I am not totally screwed by their high resistance to my damage.

2) Dominate is something I have to use, and something I want to use alot to keep things locked down... and it also takes the dom ATO set letting me cycle it for the stacking proc over and over.

3) Subdue is a nice damage attack and it can also take the dom ATO set for cycling of the stacking bonus, though exemping below 23 means losing the stacking proc if I slot it there.

If the snipe changes happen... I may move the proc to Subdue and slot Dominate as a pure control power having Levitate, Subdue, and Psionic Lance as my attack chain. Exemping wont be as optimal as I'd like but at end game I'd have a pretty decent attack chain (though still not optimal I think according to most). If you don't mind being in melee range then Mind Probe, Subdue, Psionic lance (if the snipe changes go as anticipated) would probably be a pretty nice dps attack chain. But for live right now Subdue, Mind Probe, and Telekinetic Thrust are your probably the highest dps attacks you can pick. As far as Levitate goes, it's damage is not much less than Subdue and if slotted right can be pretty close. On my dom's build my Levitate does only 2 less damage than Subdue (237 vs 239) making is a respectable alternative to Mental Blast and giving me more varied damage types.

Mental Blast does the same damage as Subdue without any secondary mez attached so you'd be better off with Subdue and other higher damaging attacks if optimal dps is your concern, simply due to the ATO and immobilize proc opportunities it offers. As a quick note, neither Mind Probe nor Telekinetic Thrust can take the dom ATO set so Subdue is kind of important if you want to stack that buff as part of your standard attack chain.
