Oh, THAT'S a hawk!

Made my first Beast Mastery Mastermind tonight.

It's been along time since I played a Mastermind with any enthusiasm, and back in the day I didn't really value the in-set attacks much, even when I took them. But I've been having fun with the Hawk power in this set. The knockdown is great, and even better is the casual way the Mastermind raises one hand to call the hawk, which then streaks in to the attack.

So I was playing on team chat with a bunch of old friends, and we were all excited (first night for our new superteam). We were low-level, of course. At one point, while we were waiting for one member to return to the keyboard, a Hellion across the street started rubbing his palms together in the "plot" emote. Right there in plain view. Like we didn't amount to any threat!

"Oh, THAT'S a hawk!" I said, raising one hand indolently.

SKREEEE! Whoosh! BAM! Down he goes!

Priceless.

Personally, I love to sic the Swarm on baddies and hear them scream, "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!"

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

I'm still warming up to Beast Mastery, and, well - MM's over all. I despise my one level 50 MM.

Summoning Spec Ops for the first time after CoV came out and scaring the bejeezus outta the team. "AMBUSH!"

Also, the super giant hawk when attacking a massive villain, like the giant shivan in the tutorial, is just awesome. Freaking Gandalf.

Just picked up Tame beasts, and am fairly impressed with all the self-buffing going on.

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

Beast Mastery is just really beautiful!

I loved Nine Lives 4 and 5 with Beast Mastery ... Call of the Ravens is quite nice too!
I took the Bees too to have 3 personal attacks, putting the Dam/Rech/Chance for Knockdown Enhancer that I get at the start of the game in Bees. 2 powers with knockdown, plus the Force Bolt from FF was good personal protection.

The set really played well for being an active Master, attacking and supporting the pets. Fortify Pack is great later, it boost regen of your pets (not as important) when used, and boosts critical chance based on Pack Mastery buffs just for owning the power.
