You don't have to use an epic pool at all, for that matter, which may be a good choice as opposed to skipping extremely key powers in your primary.
Claw, and hopeling both said it, I have toons on red side that did not go that rout and have epic powers from blue side instead of red side.

I'd start the build with Consume with as end heavy as TW is. You can always respec out of it and grab Rise of the Phoenix later if you find that you're not having endurance issues. I would also repeat what others have said and really suggest you keep Burn. |

Did not know that. I read somewhere on here about having to unlock Patrons so I figured those needed unlocks too. Guess that's more to think about.
All Paragon Market SBE (Store bought Enhancements) work without an IO license.

Yes, but that's far less critical to the set's performance than Burn.
And remember that you don't have to choose any epic pool at all, APP or PPP. You will almost certainly get more benefit from critical primary powers than from anything in an epic pool, when it comes down to that choice.
I simply can't imagine playing a Fiery Aura tank without Burn & Fiery Embrace. If you are going to skip that you might as well not play a Fire tank to begin with because the set is otherwise lacklustre. Consume is also a fantastic power because not only does it give you all your endurance back but it also gives 100% endurance protection (so long as you hit I think 2 targets with it or so) which means Malta sappers become a triviality.
If I had to skip two powers from a set, I'd probably choose Dark Armour and skip the self rez and Cloak of Fear. Slotted properly you aren't going to be dying and by most accounts the CoF is an endurance hog with a relatively superfluous effect.

Technically speaking, isn't the tanker primary with the most 'skippable' powers stone armor?
If you go granite only, you don't need any of the secondary armors.
So you can be a full-tilt 'tank' and only use five powers from your primary.
Seems about right.

Can't go stone as I hate taking armors that cover my costume. Makes my 2hrs creating chars a waste.
I tried my build in game for a bit and started thinking that i'd be better off doing Ela/TW due to lightning reflexes and moving my fire build to my staff brute(down to dropping embrace atm). Here's my new idea.

If u do it just right you wont need leadership pool i would switch that out with hast.
Thats an idea but if I did it would probably be after I found another attack to respec out later. An example since i'm thinking I might not want CB after I have more AoE later.
