Hello everyone,

After a fairly long break, Ive come back to CoH and finally managed to get my MM to 50. I'm pretty lost with slotting but through a ton of forum searching ive come up with the following build. I have no idea how good it is so please offer some advice or rip it to shreds if need be. I can afford some good IOs but purps are probably out of my price range.

Also, I am really torn between cardiac and Musc alphas. If anyone can offer some advice on which is better, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

It looks pretty nice, not overboard on purples for purples sake. I seem to be overlooking missing in your build the sovereign right +resistance pet buff. (I would put it in Hell on Earth I Guess.) I also like the Steadfast Protection +def/+resist, but with your resistance set bonuses, I am not sure where you would fit this in, probably shadow fall.

It looks like you traded by deferring some extra heal from the tier two pets for more damage. i can't fault the logic since you utiliized more of the Pacing of the Turtles in Demon Prince. I think it should work.

The Dark set itself is a high recharge build. I also like recharge for the hell on earth. It's that useful.

Of the Demon MM personal attacks, I prefer Corruption or Crack Whip (both if I can manage it). Lash is okay, but Crack is an AoE (so you have a chance of hitting more than one target), and Corruption is a low cost, low recharge ranged attack. Crack Whip also allows for a Force Feedback proc, which is immensely handy.

Other things I'd note:

- The Tempered Readiness in Tar Pit seems...out of place? The two recharge IOs is really all you need

- Darkest Night only really needs 4 slots for Dark Watcher's Despair, since the damage buff only effects you.

- Same with Fearsome Stare. You're obviously slotting to improve the -To-Hit, so I'd go with the same 4 Dark Watcher's as Darkest Night. Great Set bonuses

- If you can get the Mastermind ATOs, put those in the Demonlings. Otherwise I'd suggest Blood Mandate.

- For the Demons, this would be the best place to put Soulbound Allegiance, since the Hellfire Gargoyle is a DPS machine. As for what to put in the Demons themselves? It's a decent place for a Hami-0 if you've got the Heal or the Dmg/Acc one as well.

- If you can get a Steadfast Protection into Shadow Fall (either the +3% and/or the KB Protection) that would help.

- I noticed no Combat Jumping, would be a great place for another LotG, or the Karma KB protection.

- Hell On Earth would be a great place for the Pet Uniques, obviously, and you really only need 4 slots.

- For the Demon Prince, I like the Pacing of the Turtle, but I'd suggest putting a Sovereign's Rite Dmg/Acc/End enhancement instead of the generic.

- For Stamina, unless you're going for a set bonuses, you only need the proc and the End Mod. THe other two can be generic End Mod IOs.


As far as Alpha is concerned, Cardiac is a good choice because of the end reduction. Demon Prince has a tendency to eat through his end like a junkie with the munchies, not to mention it helps you as well.

Howling twilight has a great stun in it...5 slot it with abosolute amazement....Combat jump can be slotted with Gamblers...+recharge or if worried about pvp get the 3 percent resist all with no tpin ya :-)
