MM's are good for zone pvp. Real good in fact if you build right and know what you're doing.
As for forts and banes, aside from having access to elude or a version of assassin strike, they dont have much else. Just sacks of meat with no heal. Once you get hit you will keep going down.

If you don't have a widow or soldier yet, I would definitely suggest one of those two.
Grab tactics from your secondaries and tactics from leadership, then add in a precep IO. You'll have 1260.6 preception (capped), where as stalkers will only have 1143 stealth. This means you can see stalkers 117.6ft away. Remember that most ranged attacks have 80ft and this means you'll see stalkers plenty far away.
If you don't have a toon to see stalkers, I'd recommend making one specifically for that. It's nice to have when necessary.

PvP Redux is discontinued, for obvious reasons. Thanks to everyone who helped and joined.
Second what Vince said, all of your toons seem to be damage/solo damage. Make a team oriented support character, you'll always be busy plus its something new.
So.. I've been pvping for awhile now and have gotten bored with all my toons.. I've had a psy/em, sonic/therm, fire/mm, inv/ss, fire/ss, em/regen stalk, and km/regen...
What, in your opinion, is the most FUN pvp toon to play on. Idc if its not the best... But I want to be able to have a pvp toon and not get bored with it after spending 5+ bill.
