Suggestion: Suggestions Forum

Devs? May, March and twice in February just going back 14 pages in the Dev Digest to the beginning of February. The March post has been quoted by a few people in other threads there dealing with the same idea.
Lets be brutally honest.
When was the last time a Dev or even an OCR even responded to something in the Suggestions forum? As mentioned above, the move from Development to For Fun shows that it is now the place where people put out ideas for people to daydream about, nobody takes the Suggestion section seriously anymore, not even the Dev team, so what is the point of posting in there? |
OCR? Twice in May. I stopped looking once I got to March 30 since it was 14 pages into the Community Digest.
Just because they aren't commenting in the threads doesn't mean they aren't reading them.
I heard some things mentioned at both Pummits in various conversations that had been under discussion in the Suggestion and Ideas forums.
I think they are reluctant to post there as some people have taken that as support for their idea and expected it to be implemented into the game within a few months.
One poster a while back even claimed that a Dev was supporting their idea when all they did was comment on some tangent brought up by a different poster that had nothing to do with the OP's suggestion.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

No. Take your effort to force us to uphold your vision of how we should be playing the game and shove it someplace dark and smelly. |

I'm probably mis-remembering like all hell (and as I type this it seems pretty stupid), but I seem to remember there being a reason for a lack of responses in the actual Suggestions forum, in that there was some sort of legal trouble around officially taking ideas from it and crediting people. No idea why that stuck with me, but that's always been my explanation for it, and that it was just some place the powers that be said, "here go pretend to be an ideas guy and quit clogging up the rest of the forum."

Yeah, no, I have no idea where you're remembering that from, but it wasn't City. They've actually repeatedly mentioned when a change/addition they've made was player-suggested.

So Redoptic is using Nethergoat as an example of an outsider the forum regulars picked on?
