Stealth or Super Speed not adding stealth properly

I have noticed a lot of odd behavior with Stealth and Super Speed on lately.
My combat attributes definitely show 70ft of stealth, but enemies that have no extra perception still detect me at least a little ways off. It's as if Stealth or Super Speed is not adding to my stealth so that they see me 30ft away.

The most notable are the monsters roaming The Hive.
While my widow with Mask Presence and Super Speed can get right next to them, my Gravity/Time controller with Stealth and Super Speed can't get that close. Though, I have not tested my widow's stealth in at least a couple weeks.

Can anybody else confirm odd behavior of either of those powers or stealth as a whole lately?

Stealth and SS give much less stealth then the Widow power, and really aren't made to run through mobs without being noticed, but rather trying to skirt around the edges of them.
On top of that, monsters in The Hive (Or any monsters) have increased perception compared to standard enemies.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

Stealth = Super Speed = 35ft each
Mask Presence = 40 ft

70ft(Stealth+Super Speed) vs 75ft(Mask Presence+Super Speed)

How much extra perception do those monsters have? enough to see 70ft from 30ft away while not seeing 75ft right in front of them?

Like I said, something does not seem right. I was just asking if anybody else noticed that enemies may have seen them when they should have been perfectly hidden.

As an aside, it could have been the fact that I was using Chrono Shift and Farsight at the time. Maybe those had their "enemies will not notice this" part broken or some even more strange bug.

Edit:
FYI, monsters, and even giant monsters, do not arbitrarily have extra perception. I used to stand in front of Deathsurge in Cap Au Diable and try to take pictures of the him when his ghostly face pulsed in front of the electrical graphics of his head.
Enemies only have increased perception under special conditions.

Edit 2:
At least last I checked, monsters and giant monsters had the same perception as everythign else, but this was back in issue 21 that I last went around any GMs before now.

Ok then, that is my mistake. I was under the assumption that Mask Presence was a widow's version of hide.

If by "monster" you mean Giant Monsters, they've got 100 feet of perception.

Well then, is perception affected by level difference?

I swear, I can walk up to Deathsurge with just Super Speed and Stealth and make faces at him without gaining aggro. Deathsurge used to be listed as level 20 while he would still con purple.

That would explain the issue, but, either way, I know that it used to be easier to sneak past, or stand in front of, every giant monster and monster that didn't specially ignore stealth.
The 100ft stealth value seems new.

Perhaps you should learn the mechanics before you claim they aren't working? Nothing has changed with Perception/Stealth for a long time. You must have been on a Stalker or something because the powers you discuss have never been able to avoid a GM's perception.

Oh, and perception is not impacted by level difference. However enemies that con Grey to you won't aggro to you for unrelated reasons. GMs haven't had levels per se for a good while either.

Consider me informed about stealth and perception, but I still swear monsters/giant monsters used to have less perception.

Also, every enemy has a level. they are used to determine what powers that enemy has access to and the amount of health and such that they have.

Deathsurge is a level 20 enemy, but he is a Giant Monster so he has to con purple to everyone as well. This was visible for a time a few years back before and after being invisible to us players.

the DE in the Hive, Abyss, PI and Monster Island are Monster class not GMs - lower hits and damage and I think lower mag status protections. Generally they have a similar difficulty to AVs but use the GM code for conning whereas AVs con as a specific level.
I can't recall seeing them dropping Emanators so it is possible they may have had the buffs from them incorporated into their base stats
