What is a "Praetorian Chaser"?

QFT. Sums up my issues w/ Prae. The only upshot to it atm is the fun of seeing warped versions of the heroes. Nothing like hanging out w/ the mad dog version of the Brawler.
...
1. The content is 50% harder than the equivalent content Hero/Villainside. 2. The devs went ambush happy. 3. Praetorian content is even more oppressively linear than Villainside content. |
But all the damned 2min timer mishes
The thing I find funny is that for years there has been a vocal group of people on the forums complaining how much they hated the low level hero and villain content because it's too easy and boring, and they begged the devs to create newer more challenging low level content (or give them level bumps so they could skip up it). The devs answered their requests with the harder Praet content and they won't go near it.
If that is the reason they went a bit too far. Especially w/ the Seers and the knockback spam...then the Resistance Heavy Barrels and their knockback spam. Acro or something like it is pretty much mandatory once you get to the 10+ part.
I see this thread title pop up and I think:
Praetorian Chaser = Enriche

Dude, chill. You can't expect everyone to have the same temperament as you or "most people". The problem seems to be a lack of a picture for the Gold side. The OP comes here to see if anyone had more info.
1. That is not a or the problem.
2. He was already told it was a recolored Longbow Chaser. 3. The post I quoted had him saying 'the power' and not 'the Praetorian Chaser'. The Praetorian Chaser is not a or the power. It is just a physical manifestation of *the* power for gold siders. Any problem here is a manufactured one. It's like saying the Devs let us down because when they introduced a new faction, let's say the Talons of Vengeance,' e.g., and they didn't post a picture of every minion, lieutenant, and boss of the faction, so, "I don't know whether I want to play the next Issue." Most people, if curious what the Praetorian Chaser looked like would politely ask if someone could post of picture of it. The OP in this case made the lack of picture a failure on the part of Paragon Studios. A manufactured problem. |
Logically, if the marketers did not provide a picture of the Gold side vheicle, they did in fact fail to provide one. Obviously, people wanted to know what it looked like.
In conclusion, if you can't be helpful, just hush.

@Ukase
The same could be said to someone dredging up a post from 24 days ago.

I was just pointing out that it is the reason why Praetoria is empty, because it is restricted.
1. The content is 50% harder than the equivalent content Hero/Villainside.
2. The devs went ambush happy.
3. Praetorian content is even more oppressively linear than Villainside content.
The final nail in the coffin was when the dev opened up the ability to create every AT except Epics to both hero and villain factions. After that there was no reason to create a Praetorian character unless one wants to run the more difficult content.
