iXP Underground

In another thread, the observation was made that the Underground iTrial was a rich source of iXP for fledgeling incarnates. I kicked around the idea of running this trial with 50s and 51s with the express idea of getting massive amounts of iXP -- not even attempting to defeat the Avatar of Hamidon.

I discussed the idea with a couple of people, and now I wanted to ask the rest of the forum going population...

What do you think of this idea? Would you participate if it was run at a convenient time?

It certainly is. The first Underground I'd ever ran was on my main with a flat 50 friend that had never done any incarnate content and had only just unlocked their alpha (We won the trial, attempted but failed the bomb section at the last hall but got everything else).

Point being, they got 97% toward both Interface and Judgement in one run.

If I'm around, I'd be happy to help out on any such iTrials.

If I'm around at the time I'd be willing to bring a +3 to help out.

I suspect this will be a great success and will be more than a one-time event. As such, I really don't have a problem bringing a +3 to this event to help with heals/debuff, because I know that someone else will swap out the next time and bring a +3 so I can bring a 50.

Now... to get the WST so I can unlock +1 alpha on my plant/kin.

A group of flat 50's/50+1's? You'll fail at the Avatar. Period.
You won't survive the confuse spam. (Unless those +1's are all getting their +1 from rocking T3/4 Clarions.

It's possible you missed a line.

We actually succeeded. We had several +3's helping out with their clarions, but I *think* the majority were 50s, or 50+1. I got Judgement and Interface unlocked on one of my toons, and got up to 14% open on Destiny.

We died a LOT, but it was a good amount of fun too; at least I had a lot of fun, but that could have been the Tartan Ale talking. Good group of people, and overall we listened to the instructions. I suspect that had a lot to do with getting through it as well.

Anyone have the actual count of what was on the trial in the way of 50/50+1, etc?

We did succeed, and it was the most amazing example of people following directions in the history of the underground.

No one aggro'd the barge
No one opened the trap room door.
No one ran ahead at the end...

But I don't know that it was a real test of the concept, there were several 50+3's riding herd on it. I suspect that - if we'd really been all 50/50+1 we wouldn't have stood a chance against the avatar.

Since there is interest, I would like to run one of these iXP Underground trials this week.

Are there any suggestions/preferences for the day/night/time?

Weeknights are good for me, you know about what time I get ingame. Saturday is out for me. Feel free to pick my brain on times this evening.

Rush the Rikti starts at 9pm Eastern tonight. But before that, I'm going to run an iXP UG out of DA at 8pm. We should be done with a fair amount of time to spare before RtR is scheduled to begin.

Bring out your iXP challenged incarnates, and let's see what happens.

Well, the iXP run was successful in that we picked up a lot of iXP. It was also successful in that we completed the trial and picked up a lot of Astrals.

Unfortunately, it was a bit difficult at times (for a variety of reasons) and that resulted in the trial taking a bit longer than normal.
