It might be better to show some kind of indicator that there's other locks on a character beyond the character slot one. That way, you'll know that there's more to do before you can play that character, but still choose to unlock the slot if you wish to.
If you can't unlock it without unlocking the rest of the stuff on the character first, then you'll be unable to access that slot to delete the character if it's one you didn't like and want to reuse the slot without paying for something you're found unfun.

It's not the devs' or mods' job to make sure you don't waste slots. You need to pay attention to what you have unlocked.

And I was also put off by the outright declaration that the poster doesn't intend to work within the 'rules' of posting and still wants us to care about his/her thoughts. If you can't work within the system, the system won't work with you.

As a Premium player, it should not be possible for me to use up one of my character slots unlocking a character that has multiple locks in place. It should be necessary to remove ALL OTHER LOCKS before one of my character slots is used up.
Why? Because Customer Support has no way to undo the unlock and give you your slot back in the event that you cannot or will not do what's required to remove the other locks.
