"Weapon: Always drawn" option
It would be nice to have a weapon always out and ready... but what do you do with the other weapons that you utilize? like the Black Wand, the Nem Staff, the Bat.... the... it keeps on going... and come to think of it what about the animations for actions without weapons... Sands of Mu would look kind of odd with a Street pole in your hands.
Nice idea but probably not going to happen.
"My life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely pretty and well preserved, but rather I will skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...WOW...What a Ride"
It wouldn't need to be any different than it is now: any click power that isn't either from your weapon set or flagged as compatible (only Brawl atm iirc) causes the weapon to vanish (and redraw the new weapon if needed). The only extra bit needed is to automatically redraw the original weapon after the attack is done.
A point to consider though is Dual Pistols and Dual Blades, which would look silly with one weapon always out and one combat only.
This doesn't need to be complex at all. Any weapon we draw naturally stays on as long as we're in combat mode or we force a power with a different activation sequence. Neither basic movement nor toggles do this. The problem is that the game has a timer of 10 seconds after the last combat action you've attempted, after which you're taken out of combat mode by force. There's no technical reason why this timer can't be increased to 20 seconds, 30 seconds or 99 999 seconds (the duration of Mastermind pets). This would make any weapon we draw stay out until we explicitly put it away.
So if combat mode never expires on its own, how can we stop it? Surely we don't want a repeat of Shield Melee where our characters are constantly hunched-over and swaying, right? Simple - the Escape key on your keyboard takes you out of combat mode with a single press. Don't want to be hunched over? Hit escape. Emotes also disable all combat mode if at all possible, or outright fail to play if it's not possible to disable as with Shield Melee.
The game has this as an option. I brought it to BABs and he told me he saw no reason why this should be impossible to do, but was hesitant to make the change. BABs was simply reluctant to change the status quo unless it was broken, and all of a sudden requiring people to press a button to exit combat mode as it won't time out on its own was changing the status quo. I didn't see that as a problem then and I don't see it as a problem now, but I'm sure a UI option can be added to control this timer.

Always drawn is a bit silly. Maybe just an instant draw.

Logic would suggest that a Staff or Titan Weapon would ALWAYS be in hand, there is no place to sheath it. It has always kind of bugged me that weapons are drawn from out of no where.
I like the idea of an always in hand option. Great suggestion!

We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
My point was that many Titan Weapons are as large or larger than the toons using them. Not the kinda thing you are likely to slide into a pocket or sheath. Not that we have those in the game either, but I think you understand my point.
Just for those who may not fully understand, this suggestion is mostly about wanting the character to always have their weapon out when out of combat - not so much about draw and redraw in combat.
I have one character, Truesword, who's sword is really the main character (the sword wielders come from another dimension and swap out from time to time).
It'd be nice to not be pressing an attack every 10 seconds just to keep it out, hehe (not a huge deal, but that's the point... it's just a suggestion for our fun within a game, nothing more nothing less).

This might be the only way to really do it, but... My only personal issue with this is that in combat I get annoyed when I put away my weapon from hitting ESC to untarget an enemy (most often when I'm targeted on one that is farther away and I want to target another one nearby).
Not a huge deal and nothing's perfect, but I just thought I'd mention it!
Maybe there is an untarget command I can make a bind... or even just a bind to target a specific named target (that doesn't exist) that'd untarget for me?
Hmm... I'll have to look into that, hehe.

I'd appreciate an option in the costume creator UI to keep my characters weapons permanently in the "drawn" state.
Given that we don't have options for weapons to be "holstered", ie visible when not used, it's annoying for many of my characters to have their weapons simply "vanish" into thin air. The effect is particularly jarring when the weapon is large in relation to the character model.
A simple checkbox in the UI, or something similar to the "combat only" extra options for auras would be nice, ie each weapon model has a "combat only" and "permanently drawn" option in the weapons dropdown.
