Yes, they receive purple levels of bonuses when you catalyze them, and the damage proc becomes similar to the Purple damage procs with 107 rather than 74 points of damage (and a higher chance to fire).
That's absolutely correct. It's the whole point of enhancement catalysts at the moment. They turn archetype sets purple. One thing to keep in mind is that they count as two separate sets for purposes of bonuses but the same set for uniqueness.
For example, if you wanted a lot of accuracy you could do
2-piece Blasters Wrath + 2-piece Blasters Wrath (Superior) for a total of 22% (7 base + 15 superior)
But you can't do
Blaster's Wrath: Accuracy/Damage + Blaster's Wrath: Accuracy/Damage (Superior)

I have heard a rumor that if you slot the blaster ATO and then increase the effectiveness of the set through the catalyst.... this raises them to 'superior' or effectively making them 'purple'??
Is that correct??
