Really Devs, I can handle avs (DA bug)
This happens in Who Will Die 7 too. You can fight Ghost Widow as an AV in the first mission but the end fight in the last mission can only be an EB.

My theory is since these were seen as "solo-able" content avs were turned off. Which is stupid since that's what we have notoriety settings for.

I completely agree. ESPECIALLY in a zone where you can boost yourself enough to be +3 to the normal spawn.

Its not a bug its been stated by Dr. Aeon that the DA EB's are working as intended, there is a large thread about this already on the For Fun forum.
So I'm running the DA missions with my SG and we get to The Sentinel and are expecting a big AV fight, but he's an EB, so we rather anti climatically wipe the floor with him. I think this is normal and carry on.
Then last night I'm doing the Diabluque mission, get to the end and she is an Orange EB. I check my difficulty settings and I am set for AVs. Soooo, the mobs in the DA missions are harder to clear then the end bosses. This needs to be fixed. |

EDIT: And just for the record, Tub Ci also spawns as a full AV for me, as does Black Scorpion in Max's missions. The other "entities" spawn as EBs (the Sentinel, the Kereses, the Mother Keres, and the Embodiment of Mot). I do have to admit, that it seems weird to me that the Embodiment *isn't* an AV - at least from a climactic fight standpoint - although I *can* see how all of the "damage" I've done inside of Mot might have weakened the Embodiment down to "automatic" EB status.

Yeah, there were a pair of very long threads on this subject when DA released. Apparently, this is working as intended, since the idea is that DA is for solo or smaller teams, and theoretically an EB should be an even fight for most any single player using Single Origin Enhancements and a decently put together build.
At least on paper.
The problem is that the EBs on their own are not especially tough, and indeed a few Banished Pantheon bosses will give scrappers and brutes more of a fight (two or more of those bosses with Radiation powers and heavy -Def debuffs will ruin a Willpower scrapper or brute's day if they arn't careful). Throw in how overpowered we are with IOs and Incarnate powers and shifts, and stuff like the Sentinel becomes rather anti-climatic.
It's something I've been seeing lately. Saw the same in the new Sig arcs. Ghost Widow will spawn as an AV, but Rulu-Wade, who is supposed to be just about the most powerful being on the planet at this point and capable of taking out entire fleets of warships... is an EB. Even a small team will just tear him apart.
But as mentioned, this has been heavily discussed already in other threads. I wish they would reconsider, or implement ways of upping the challenge level of these guys. The Sentinel fight is really too short. Something that big should stand up to a lot more punishment.

I think what should happen is that their should be an "incarnate" option for just about everything for DA that would make every named boss an EB and every natural EB an AV.
Outside of DA being an incarnate would allow you to wave all teammate requirements on SFs/TFs, and give you "effortless" alternate animations.

the only 2 things i think that needed to be AVs were the sentinel of mot and the embodiment of mot
diabolique at the end of praetor duncans arc IS an AV, i know i was having issues on one of my toons where the diff was set to x8 with AVs but everything was spawning at default diff anyway, so after talking to fateweaver again it seemed to start taking my diff again

It certainly makes Mot pretty anticlimatic. EBs put up a good fight but I don't even need to use inspirations for them by the time I'm level 50 with a good bit of incarnate powers.
