Arachnos Night Widow

Hey all, I have a new level 50 night widow I'd like advice on. Here's a tenative build for her. Features:

58%+ Defense to all positions. (71% Def to Melee).
Near perma Hasten. Mind Link should be perma.
10% damage bonus, before double Assault.
Double Assault, double Maneuvers.
3.31 End/sec recovery
210% regen
145% global recharge
52% global accuracy

This is stalkery build with Mask Presence, Build Up, and Placate. Maybe later for a 2nd build I'll remove those and add Tough and Weave for a more fighter oriented build, but stalker-lite is kinda how I like to play my Widows.

Any comments appreciated.

Hmm, no comments?

No one ran screaming from my build, telling me not to do it, so I guess it's at least acceptable.

Well, I play as a fortunata(yeah I know NW's tend to be better on the damage/recharge front) but this looks like a pretty boss build to me, not super familiar with the NW skills but the stats and defenses all seem quite solid to me.

Magisterum- 50+3 Fortunata--Virtue

Lukerion- 33 Emp/Rad Defender--Virtue
Noah Heartily- 34 SS/SD brute- Virtue
Mika Heartily- 50+1 Fire/MM blaster-Virtue

You're probably not getting responses because you didn't post a data chunk.
I'm assuming PvE?
Overkill on the accuracy and melee defense (45% defense is the softcap, and 50% caps you against a +4 av). Go into options->configurations->base values and set your accuracy to 39. That will make your powers display your chance to hit against +4s. You only need 95% to cap, and I think the lowest power you have is at 117%.
You don't really get much out of 6 slotting positron's and scirocco's. Even though psi attacks sometimes bypass positional defenses, it's a rare occurrence and widows have high psi resists.
It's kind of weird that you put adjusted targeting in buildup instead of leadership since you don't need the extra accuracy, and leadership would at least benefit your teammates.
the second recharge in placate only makes it recharge 2s faster.
You're over the rule of 5 on +10% regen and +9% accuracy.

You have defense
you have recharge
you have recovery
You don't have healing, but plenty of people consider that optional.

Use boosters on Hasten and put more endrdx into stealth.
Put a stealth proc in sprint, to stack with stealth for full invisibility.

I'm sure there's other things that could be improved, but you would have to define improvement. You took the widow tree but didn't take elude, whether that's an improvement or not depends on the player's preferences.

I prefer the Melee Fort over the widow, my build is in my sig, and is icapped rather than standard softcap.

Incarnate content enemies have 64% tohit rather than 50%. This means, naturally, that the incarnate softcap is 59%. 71% melee is overkill and I wouldn't build for that myself but widows don't get much DDR, either, so it makes sense if you want to have a buffer against -def effects in incarnate content. Incarnate level Cimeroran enemies are meanies.

Imo there are so many team buffs flying around in incarnate content that you don't need to softcap yourself for it.

Something tells me that had I shot for less than 60% defense on my fortunata, beating the final boss of Dark Astoria as a 53+3 while I was 52 may have been a tad rougher than it ended up actually being.

It's a bit of a different build than I am used to, I prefer get into the thick of things and mowing stuff down but you have plenty of AoE in there plus your single target killer so that should be good.

You do have plenty of defense, you have pretty much all of the important stuff covered. Really the only things I can think of to improve it might be an alpha to help with your endurance consumption, and somewhere to put in the SoA ATO set. The bonuses are great, and the proc adds really great control when slotted into an AoE power. I have mine slotted in spin but you might get more mileage out of it in Dart Burst if I am imagining your playstyle correctly.

Good luck!
