Dark/Dark permadom help please
I think that's why I find it odd - using immob before Heart means every enemy is going to hit me.

Also, I don't use the immobilze - don't even have it in my build. I Fearsome Stare, then Stun or Shadow Field before starting on my AoE (Rain of Fire, Fireball, and Engulfing Darkness).
I took the immob mostly because of RoF, in case they try to run or wander out of it while stunned.
...but yeah I do what you do Blue. I have already spent near 800 mil on the build that is now in the 2nd post, so I think I will stick with what I have, then switch to the Basilisks and eventually get to purples. I am undecided on the Decimation - I already have permadom and have more attacks than I even use with the recharge I have as it is.
By the way, what kind of -tohit do you get out of Fearsome by using Cloud Senses?
EDIT: nvm, I see you get 16%~ -tohit. I wanted to know how long the +damage lasts for the ATO, anyone know?

In my planned dark/dark build, I was figuring to put 5 of the ATOs into Heart of Darkness, but I want the Proc in Midnight Grasp, which it will fit into because MG has an immob on it. The Proc buff lasts 10.25 seconds according to mids. It should have a 100% chance to proc in MG. I've speced out a few builds with varying amounts of recharge and S/L defense. I do admit that I had planned on using two purple sets, Confuse and Immob, which were cheaper in the past, but who knows what they will end up costing once converters are out.
Heres a data chunk for one of them, it has 108% global recharge without hasten and if you add in the agility alpha it's got 45% S/L defense. It's a bit low on end recovery, but I find that permadom helps with that.

The proc stacks also. So, to have a 100% chance to go off once, may not be the best thing overall. I am not a number cruncher with procs, so someone else will have to make that call. Also, it never dawned on me to just go for smashing and lethal with the ice shield. I spent so much time on recharge, I forgot the simple stuff. I came here trying to help, but I am seeing a lot of good stuff in return. Let me know how your final builds work in practice. I may be headed toward my first ever toon that uses purples.

I also am finding I have WAY too many things to push that I want to push.
fear, aoeimmob, HoD, field, gloom, pbaoe, drain, boost, (maybe nightfall), mgrasp depending on location, ugh.

The instant you immobilize after fear, every single enemy should be shooting at you. This is my point - you need to use fear to get into Heart range. I am not one of those players who thinks defense softcap is everything because I need to be a god when solo and only use +4x8 settings.
I think that's why I find it odd - using immob before Heart means every enemy is going to hit me.
