Monstrous Fur (Tights category) bottoms now paid for piece?

I'm playing on one of my older accounts and I'm in the character creator. I see that the old Monstrous Fur that we've had since, well, forever is now locked and can only be used if purchased.

Did this piece get added to the Animal pack? I have a few alts with the piece and the costume creator says that it's an invalid option when editing the costume.

This account doesn't have the Animal Pack and I think that someone, when bundling up the costume pieces, added this item to the set.

Note: the Monstrous Fur Tights top is available. Just the bottoms are not.

I can't find a locked version of Monstrous Fur anywhere.

Are the pieces being locked out when you use the costume creator and when you add them to existing characters that don't have it yet, or only on characters that already have it? I suspect that the piece has been changed internally, making the old reference invalid, and you just have to change the piece to the new reference.

Normally, when this happens, the locked out version just doesn't show up in the list, but this might be a glitch related to the store-style costume piece list.

Actually, I know it's hard to believe, but the monstrous fur bottoms were not there until the Animal Pack.
It was something that should have been there to complete the Monstrous Fur set all this time, but it was not.
It came in with the Animal Pack (along with all the Animal Fur options).

I'm glad they put it in, but I did think, at the time, that it should have been a free addition.

I don't make the rules though, hehe.

I just logged into my second account, which doesn't have the Animal Pack, and it appears that Electric Knight is right; I couldn't find locked Monstrous Pants on my main account because I have the full bundle (so they're unlocked), and I don't have access on my second.

It could be that there is another part that he/she is mistaking for the monstrous fur part.
I believe there may have been a different option available for free that looks similar and thus can be easily mistaken for the paid for piece.

Although, that does not explain the "invalid choice" thing.

No, the Monstrous Fur did not exist in Tights before the animal pack. It existed in Monstrous legs, but not Tights. It seems, indeed, that it is tied to the animal pack. I can confirm with my VIP account that bought the Animal Pack vs my preemie account that has not bought anything that my VIP account has Monstrous Fur for Tights, and my preemie account does not.

Ahh, ok. Then the reason my parts are invalid must be when they changed stuff around in the costume creator. My warwolf character was created the day we got access to the monstrous parts, I think, in i6? I hadn't logged into him since the day I made him. So they must have rearranged things and the category listings are invalid.

Funny, looking at the Paragon Wiki article for the Animal Pack, it doesn't list the Monstrous bottoms in the list of items.
