Bodyguard mode against an AoE using EB - sounds like a recipe for debt to me unless you are carrying enough purples to keep your pets buffed as well.
Painbringer on your heaviest hitter and send them to attack, resummoning as needed would seem a better idea.

Alternatively ask on the global channels on your server for some help.

The point of tankerminding is to use Provoke (and/or Challenge) and stand away from the pets. Kind of like how a good tanker will move to the far side of a spawn and tank it away from the team, so cones don't hit the rest of the team.

I thought Tankerminding requires that you be close to the pets, because Bodyguard Mode doesn't work if they're too far away, and MMs aren't durable enough to tank without Bodyguard Mode. (Plus, Provoking an enemy usually makes them run over to you, and the dumb AI of the pets makes them run over to the enemy, so you'll all be close together anyway)

As I understand it, it's a delicate balance of distances. You want your pets close enough to benefit from supremacy and to be in bodyguard mode, but far enough away from you to keep them safe from AoEs aimed at you. Easier said than done. I'd suggest sending them to a specific location in front of her while you run behind her. Hopefully she'll turn to face you (that's where provoke comes in handy) and that should spare your pets while still keeping them somewhat close. Popping a few purples for you might keep you alive while the pets take her down.

Turning down the difficulty might be the easiest approach. Teammates is probably the second easiest. Depending on when you play and on which server, I might be able to help you, but I don't have many high-level redside characters.

There are also a variety of extra pets and other temp powers in the game, but acquiring them may range from inconvenient to impossible depending on your account details.

Standing back and resummoning your pets over and over while they charge in and die might work, slowly. Maybe send them in a couple at a time and watch her endurance bar. Maybe you can tire her out. AoE attacks tend to use more endurance than single target attacks.

Definitely would recommend the -1, but in this case I might advocate that bosses should be turned on. I haven't done that mission in ages, but the helper NPCs might spawn as bosses with bosses turned on, but lieuts with them turned off. In the second case they would assuredly be useless, but they *might* survive as bosses.

And what peterpeter says about positioning. Some mobs just MELTED my Mercs (Merc/Poison), but if I positioned the EB between them and me they fared much better. This was on a Merc/Poison tankermind, so my contribution was taunting the heck out of EBs while trying to keep them as debuffed as possible.

And absolutely get a Shivan.

My favorite solution on missions like this is the" gain a lv or two and bring some friends"

Although a pocket Shivan or a Snowbeast is also pretty useful.

Bodyguard mode works within about 80' of your pets, which is quite a ways. (It does require line of sight too.) Most AoE are no where near 80' radius.

It does work better with ranged pets. Bots and Thugs are generally no problem. I have no idea how to Tankermind with Ninjas.

Go to Warburg, rescue 3 scientists (or more if people attack you and steal your codes / less if you attack other people and steal theirs), click the Chemical (blue) glowie marked on your map, launch the rocket. Do it again, click the Bio (green) glowie marked on your map, launch the rocket again. Go to your mission. Use the Bio on yourself and your pets (possibly including a Shivan from Bloody Bay, or other temp pets you might see fit to use) immediately before the fight, then drop the Chemical on the EB and watch her melt as you continue to fight her.

Sending them to a specific location would disable BG mode.

Naw. Bodyguard mode works with Defensive stance. It can be Follow or Goto (or stay) but it works fine.

If you tell you pets to attack a target, you loose bodyguard mode. Or if you put them on Aggressive or Passive stance directly.
