Very long physics reaction to KB/KD

I'm sure this has been discussed on the forums before, but I notice it is not listed in Known Issues. Does this mean it's WAI?

I'm talking about the strange behaviour that started somewhere around i20 or i21 where mobs that are knocked down/back take a reallllly long time to finish falling down, their various body parts jostling with one other for position on the ground, such that they can take 20 seconds or more to finish "falling". The larger the creature, the longer they will keep "falling".

Sure, it works to my advantage compared to the way falling used to operate, but it feels like cheating, and it looks silly.

Is somebody working on this? Can we at least get acknowledgement that it's a problem?

It is there and people have noticed for sure. I don't think many are complaining because they like it.


The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Exactly, it's a bug I think is odd, but I tolerate it.
I happen to have a bots/ff mastermind and an ill/ff controller that see this often enough and enjoy it.
(Edit: I enjoy it because they don't attack while they are stuck on the ground.)

I don't enjoy the other bug where an enemy who has almost fully picked himself up won't flop if knocked again before the "get up" animation is finished.



I'm guessing this is a result of the code they put in to prevent KB from flopping flying characters a long way to the ground. Maybe the NPCs don't quite register as having hit the ground properly, which is a symptom of the poor location tracking of this game(and possibly lag).
