How is elec/nin for the endgame?
My thoughts on /NIN was it's DDR was low, and didnt have enough to back it up in the presence of -Defense.
I never really tested my /NIN out in itrials past the first two (which went ok) but one of my favorite TFs is the ITF, and with all that -Def, I felt like I had as much DDR as my WP...ie...close to none (I know it has more).

Thats what I was afraid of. I knew /Nin had a lot going for it from 1-50 in terms of having some tricks in a bag for survival which was one of the biggest draws to me, but wasn't sure how the defense held up after hitting 50 and you started to do much harder content. Would /Will or /Elec be a better secondary in that case? It seems with the HP buff both would benifit from the stalker changes and Elec would benefit from most of the iTrials dishing out energy dmg.

WP will likely have capped HP and better heal (I believe) the ELA will have higher resists.

My Elec/Nin tears through content at level 50, running at +1/+8, I only run into trouble against certain factions, like rularuu or multi-stacked-venged-nemesis troops.
Edit -> Also, on trials, I do fine, at least once I got a single level shift. Before that it was tough, as it is on anyone. But the AoE capabilities of an Elec/Nin/Fire Stalker are awesome, and I don't get much flak in return, since my AT threat modifier is so low.

I love my Elec/Nin. I haven't IO'd him extensively yet, but even on largely an SO build he's incredibly effective. I figure that if running 90% SOs with no incarnate perks yet can let me solo through +1/6 DA missions at a solid clip, then my stalker is doing something right. Yes, he does have a weakness to hordes of -def debuffing enemies, but a pre-emptive dash of luck is usually enough to compensate unless I'm in way over my head. I haven't had any significant problems running him on the 'lesser' iTrials as a base L50, either.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
Ah my bad. In my experience when someone says "It did okay" or something like that it usually means they are actually trying to say "I wouldn't do that." But then again i tend to be pessimistic lol. I ended up going with Elec/Nin anyways because I was having way too much fun with it to drop the toon. My only question now is is it worth it to take the fighting pool for the extra S/L resistance and Defense? Normally I would take it on any brute I play but with the new stalker changes i am finding my stalker to be an end hog at times, just curious if the extra protection would be worth the extra endurance issue

Hey guys, with the new changes to stalkers just around the corner I have returned to the game with a renewed interest in the AT that I haven't had since CoV first came out. I was wanting to make a Elec/Nin to fit a theme I have been wanting to make for a long time. But I am having reservations about whether or not the defense of /Nin is viable in the endgame. While I do want to stick with the theme, I still want to be able to hit 50 and build a very viable and fun toon for endgame content.
So I guess what I am asking is how survivable is /Nin in the iTrials per say? What are the chances of me dieing multiple times in a row because of an unlucky string of hard hits for example? If /Nin isn't reliable enough, what would be the best alternative? While I would prefer to use /nin, I am open for an alternative that would be a much better choice for the end game if one is available if my reservations prove true.
