Honestly I thought the article was a little disappointing because it just sounds like they went "Well, the sewer trial is popular. Let's just push the numbers up, change enemy groups, and tack on some story". Just the way it goes on it just sounds like they decided to go with more of the same while wedging in some lore content.

This sounds like it could be a promising new experience. The buff rewards sound almost over-powered, really, but I suppose it depends on just what they are.
