Changing out ATO

I was buying the ATO's and mistakenly bought the blaster version of an enhancement instead of the stalker version. I put in a ticket but they are giving me a hard time saying anything bought off the paragon market is not refundable but I did not buy these off the market I used merit rewards for these. Why do the customer service people not know that these things are also purchasable with in game rewards and not just from the super packs? If they can not change out the ATO for the correct one is there another way to do this aside from the converters?

First of all, this was your mistake not the developer's. It is your responsibility to make sure you obtain the item you want. Like the other commenter said, your best bet is to sell it off in the auction house or use an enhancement converter if possible. (Note: At the time of posting this the enhancement converters are not even released yet)

It is just plain wrong to get mad and blame the company/game for something you did. Next time make sure you choose the ATO you want.

Edit: Also at this time you can not buy the individual or even full sets of the ATOs in the paragon market. The only way to get them from the market is via Super Packs and with those which ATO you get, if any, is random. Perhaps you meant that you purchased it from a merit vendor? If so, then it definitely was your fault you chose the wrong ATO. All purchases from the paragon market are final and non-refundable.

Good news: every Blaster ATO is worth considerably more than the corresponding Stalker ATO. You can auction the one you bought, buy the one you want, and have millions left over. Your "mistake" actually did you a favor.

In fact, given the current Stalker ATO prices, you should never* buy a Stalker ATO with merits at all: the 25m cost alone is more than any of the Stalker ATOs are selling for, without even considering the opportunity cost of the merits.

*except in the case of future price changes, of course
