Gaming mouse for OSX
I have the Naga mouse and I believe it's the best mouse you can get for the game. You need to spend some time setting up the 12 keypad numbers on the side, but it's so worth it to just easily cycle through the pad with your attack combinations.
Actually mice are probably the best product Microsoft makes. I have this mini optical mouse of theirs for use while CoH on the Macbook Pro.

The info I looked at on the internet and the boxes at the store for the various MS products all mention things like "Windows only". None mention OSX in any way, so I assumed their products would be an issue under OSX.

I used Logitech mice before I got te Razer one. My main issue with that was that because there are no drivers, you only have the single mouse setting in the Settings menu. I also use an Apple Magic Mouse, just not for gaming. The settings on things like sensitivity and tracking speed that would work for the gaming mouse would not work for the Magic Mouse and vice-versa. With the Razer mouse I have proper drivers for OSX and I can set the settings separately for each mouse.
Part of the fault is with OSX for not providing multiple settings for different mice connected.
So my question becomes how does this work with MS mice?
Unfortunately the DeathAdder is the only Left-Hand model that Razer carries. The Naga only has a Right-Hand version.
The MS mice use the built-in OS X drivers and settings.

Do you mean that OSX has specific support for the different models of MS mice, or that it defaults to the generic mouse, like it did with my Logitech?
Can you use any extra buttons on the mouse, can you set the sensitivity and acceleration separately from the standard Magic Mouse?
A gaming mouse has a much higher resolution than the standard Magic Mouse from apple, or generic office mice. I found that at least for my Logitech mouse, it didn't work well with the default OSX control options.
If what you're using is just a generic 3 button/scroll wheel office mouse, then it will work.

Generic driver. All I had was a $15 3-button mouse with scroll, so that's all I needed.

I used to have a logitech mouse, but I've got a Razer DeathAdder and it's support under OSX is much better. I think Microsoft mice aren't even an option.
I haven't got the 4th and 5th buttons to work yet though, but other things like the sensitivity controls and such do work nicely with the specific Razer software tool.
I have a DeathAdder because I needed a lefthanded mouse, with reduces the options a lot.
If anyone else is looking for a mouse, I can say that it seems that Razer supports OSX gaming a lot better than Logitech (and presumably Microsoft).
Anyone else has similar or a different experience?
