Alternate color animation question

Does anyone know where to get information on color picks that match original set color animation? It would make it soooo much easier when I try to do something like take the alternate Dark Blast animation, but then want it to blend seamlessly with the rest of the very great Dark Blast set.

There is no way to match the original colors - the alternate versions are all based off two colors (basically) while the original power animations have no such limit.

As for getting close, not sure which ones are closest. Maybe try poking around in the art forum.

Closest I can get is row1,column4 for the first colour, and row15,column9 for the second.

From there, your best bet is to use alternate animations where you want them, and colour tintable otherwise, if you want them to match.

Some powersets have an easier time matching the colours of the original than others. Dark is not one of the ones that has it easy; watching Dark Blast animate over and over in the editor, I'm seeing dark grays, purples, greens, black, and various mixtures of the above (also a sandy-yellow towards the end). There's no way we can match more than two of those. something's always going to be left out and not match as a result.
