Word has it that Furries have been trying to assimilate Ponies into their fandom, and there are quite a number of Furries that have become Pony fanatics as you might expect.
But the MLP fanbase is incredibly savvy and intelligent, and they are all well aware of who and what Furries are. They've generally refused to be assimilated. Even when... or perhaps especially when Lauren Foust herself was lucky enough to have certain, erm... inappropriate comments made to her by them on her DA account.
Leave it to a Furry to show absolutely no tact at all when attempting to force solidarity upon those who really don't want anything to do them. Way to perpetuate the stereotypes, guys! This is why we can't have nice things.

That said, if you checked it out to see what all the fuss was about and genuinely started to like the show, appreciate it's nuances et al, then by all means enjoy it. |
