Tier 9 Rewards Question

I know this is a silly question, but I am going to ask anyway. I have all the points for the Tier 9 rewards, but want to clarify. If I don't purchase something in Tier 8 (the EB), is there any penalty? Meaning if I don't purchase everything in Tier 8, will I miss out on something later?

(I hope I am phrasing this right...)

The repeatable options? I skipped em to get the VIP awards when i21 hit. There is no drawback that I know of. With my tokens piling up (I have ten as of now), I'll pick the enhancement unslotters now and then, because those are useful, but aside from that, sure, save em up for whatever else you want.

Yes the repeatable ones (the unslotters, windfall, etc). I have actually repeated some of them, but I was just checking to see if there was a reason for making sure I get all at least once.

You have to fill all of the tier 8 slots before you can slot anything into tier 9; however, you do not have to fill any tier 9 slots before taking the tier 9 VIP rewards.

None whatsoever. I have 3 of those 5 still blank even though I have 7 Tokens to spare.

Hmmm... nice idea, hadn't thought of doing that.

According to paragon wiki "Owning (but not necessarily slotting) the number of tokens to complete a tier opens that tier's rewards permissions."

So it looks like you can skip items you don't want on a tier save the tokens until you unlock the next tier then spend them.

Not really.

Tier 9 is just a bunch of replenishable temp powers. It's not even really a tier that one can complete. Thus, if you're VIP, then you don't need to 'complete' Tier 9 to start slotting Tier 9 VIPs.

Each Tier below 9 is a tier that you must complete before you start claiming rewards on the next tier. However, each tier from 1-8 has extra rewards just for having enough Tokens to fill that tier even though you may not have gotten around to doing so.

Ugh! I see it now. Just unlocks the tiers extra rewards if you have the tokens. Dang I was hoping to skip some tier 7 and 8 stuff to save tokens to get the costume packs right away when I get to tier 9. Oh well it is quicker then the old way but that stuff still seems out of reach.
