WP/MA Tank - can it be better?

Hi all,
first time with a WP Tank and first time with a MA toon.
The build is not cheap but no purples or pvp's.

Running with the following important numbers:
Def
S/L: 45.1%
F/C: 37.6%
E/N: 40.1%
Psi: 27.6%

Res
S/L: 64.9%
F/C/E/N: 7.5%
Psi: 38.8%

Regen (1 foe): 815% - 112.7 HP/s
MaxHP: 3318
EndRec: 4.24/s
EndUse: 1.7/s*

S/L Resistance isnt THAT high but with s/c S/L Defense it should be ok .

For those paying close attention to the individual powers note that I have the Gaussian proc in Focused Accuracy which is counting the +40%ToHit/+80%Dam always.

*And there is a reason I took a T2 Vigor Alpha and not a T4 - Mids isnt appying the Vigor T4 Core Paragon correctly, but the T2 Core Revamp has the same numbers except the EndRed is not included

Chance for Hold in LBE I wouldn't do but otherwise without loading it up I've read the slots here and it looks okay.

You might want to switch out kick for boxing for 1 u want to keep the enemy's close to you, 2 the chance for the recharge bonus in the force feed back is very low and and u have to hit them. I would also have put in a gen Taunt IO in RttC since that is your taunt aura and WP needs as much help as possible to keep the enemy's near you to help with your reg. You have no travel power so I take it you will be buying the temp travel to get you to certain places?

Thanks to both New Dawn and LSK for your feedback.

I find the Chance For Hold to fire off often enough to be useful and also give me more options when doing the LGTF Hami (I rarely do full Hami raids).

I have Ninja/Beast Run for general movement between missions and get the Jet Pack for vertical movement when needed
I use Taunt fairly often on all my Tanks to ensure I have the enemies focus on me so the poor Taunt effect in RttC should be negated by that.

Im planning to use the Spectral Interface for the 25% Chance to Immobilise to help keep my foes near me
But looked at swapping Kick: FF_Proc to Boxing: CrsHhImpt_A\D.

Thought I had the only WP/MA tank. Like mine, good defense, very survivable, just the MA set is such a huge disappointment, it just does not hit anything. Eagles Claw is the worst. Initially I thought difficulty level was to high, so I ran a bunch of tip missions at +0, nope, EC is crap, only hits maybe 2/3 of the time.
Anyway you all can tell me what I've done wrong.

Well first off i would get rid of the leadership pool and add in focus chi into it. Also add in hasten to get your recharge up there. Maneuvers is eating a lot of end and provides little bit of def. Also in your RttC i would of put a taunt IO considering that is your taunt aura and it will help you get taunt on your tank.

Are you married to the idea of Energy Mastery?

Because you can softcap E/N defense if you take a different APP.

Take an APP that has a hold in it and slot the hold with 2 Basilisk's Gaze and 3 Thunderstrike. Or alternately, you can take Pyre Mastery and slot Char with just the 2 BG and 6 slot Fire Blast with 3 Devastation and 3 Thunderstrike so you gain the soft cap without losing your regen and max HP bonuses.

You lose a little bit of regen and Max HP anyway, but slotting that way and adding Maneuvers will allow you to almost reach the Incarnate Soft Cap with Storm Kick.

Claws build is nice, but I tend to follow a little different philosophy on tanks, namely, they do damage too.

I am not really saying that you have done anything wrong but I would of probably favoured getting to or closer to softcap. Even less hits the better.

I've kept all your power choices there because concepts maybe set in stone and just moved things around substituting for +def.

Your accuracy is helped in part from tactics and your damage is helped in part from damage bonuses. Your end rec versus end drain should be good enough. Your regen the same or more. Careful with settings.

Thanks for the reply, I tried a build much along those lines, up until level 40 or so, but, like Mauk2, I expect my tanks to do some damage. Since I tend to solo a lot of characters, its mandatory. The problem with MA, despite its stated enhanced accuracy, it does not have it, and the set is a huge end hog. The way you have slotted Storm Kick, you'll never have the defense bonus. However, I do like the better defense values, so I'll take some ideas from this and look at some changes. The build I have now was arrived at by on the fly changes to a planned build, with the idea of a respec to be done after completing some of the i-trials. Thanks for the response.
