first time dom plant/fire build

I tried a couple controllers, didnt care for them, but I figured I'd give a Dom a try, for more damage, and read that Plant/Fire is a great first time Dom combo.. So here goes my attempt at a dom build, I used a couple old guides on how to slot the holds, all critques and help would be much appreciated

Er, yeah. It's an SO build, so it's pretty bad.

I don't really play dominators, so a dominator specialist might be able to do a better job than me, but I put together an IO build that gives you almost perma hasten (perma, if you want to go with the Ageless barrier, but I'd recommend just going Rebirth for the regen heal, since there's no inherent heal in the Plant/Fire), perma dom, and >32.5% defense to all positions.

I usually use nin run or rocketboard since I got em so not having a travel power isnt a problem, and thanks for the build

Here's my plant/fire/fire permadom build (live) if it gives you any ideas. One key, even with SOs/IOs, is slotting Roots for damage not for immob. It does great spammable AOE damage.

This set is not perma, you are missing 3 luck of the gamblers and hasten isn't even permanent!

Hey, just thought I'd weigh in since I have a Plant/Fire dom that I really love (my first Villain 50 actually).

I'm going to assume since you posted an SO build that you are not rolling in INF and are looking for build advice that isn't all about perma-dom, soft-cap nastiness. So, with that in mind here are some things I noticed:

1. You took Incinerate and Flurry, which makes me think that you want to be at melee range, but you didn't grab Combustion. You should consider either picking it up or dropping the melee attacks.

2. Defense is one of those things that doesn't really make a difference unless you have quite a bit of it (25%+ in my experience). Maneuvers is giving you 4% for 4 precious Enhancement Slots. I'd drop it unless you plan on getting 20ish% more defense from stuff like Weave, Hover/CJ or Set IOs.

3. Should you have some cash a very cheap way to improve your build is the Thunderstrike set, it can be slotted in Flares, Fire Blast and the amazingly great Blaze. At 4 slots it's got Recovery, Ranged Defense and Accuracy all of which are great. Slap 1 set into each of those three powers and you can go down to 1 Accuracy SO in most of the rest of your powers.
