Giant Monster/TF soloing guides
I can't say a whole lot about crabs, as I haven't played one since they were originally introduced.
But in general for GMs:
You need a certain threshold of dps, or a good source of -regen
Softcapped defense
Good regen or a heal
For a crab spider, I'd generally say you'd want all your pets+lore pets, slot your powers with achilles heel procs and keep the GM -res debuffed, and run TTAssault and Leadership assault, this way your pets are doing as much dmg as possible. Without the pets though Crab Spider st dps isnt so hot.
For soloing an ITF you're going to need a way to deal with cascading defense failure. This means using barrier, or potentially ageless. The healing nictus with romulus could potentially cause issues for you as it triggers a heal for every person within range of it, including your pets. As well as other than lore pets you can't command your pets to target a specific AV, meaning you can't focus fire against the AVs. Of course you could always cheat with teleport. I'm not saying it's impossible in any way, you'd just need to build accordingly.
The DPS threshold is high enough that you can't reach it without lore pets, and I don't think lore pets last long enough to take down a GM on straight DPS. My fastest time for a Clockwork Paladin (the easiest GM) on my Bots/Traps was just under four minutes, and that's with Poison Trap to shut down regen.

And let's say you have exactly the same amount of dps as the regernation of the AV. You summon your lore pets to overcome that regeneration, and even if they run out, you can keep the GM's health the same while they recharge (though I wouldn't really consider that a good kill, it's still there)
~380dps just to break even assuming the monster hasn't any resistance nor runs from you, as a level 50. Most giant monsters are lower level than that though, so, much easier. Even my scrappers can solo Paladin or Kraken with the aforementioned strategy.
As for soloing TFs, crab spiders don't need no guides! Even STF/RSF should be a walk in the park (hover + taunt for the former, wide area web grenade for the second) albeit time-consuming, and ITF isn't worth mentioning. Here's a topic about a crab taking on a +4/x8 ITF if you want advice (but in itself it should tell you the hardest part in a basic ITF is finding fillers / a strong enough computer for multiple accounts ).
Are you allowing yourself the use of temp powers?
Warburg Bio and Chem nukes, along with Shivans, make GM killing a great deal easier.
Premium accounts can't edit signatures.
Huh.
So, I've been playing at normal levels (+0, x1) on my crab spider and well...got a bit bored.
So I knocked the difficulty right up and still it was pretty easy but more fun! Then I did an ITF at high difficulty, I ran off, scrapper locked my way to rescue 3 sybils.
Then people started talking about soloing ITF and GMs and I thought. Yeah, that sound pretty cool, bragging rights and all that. Why don't I give it a shot?
So now I'm looking for GM/TF soloing guides. I've tried searching, but I don't get anything recent.
I kinda know some of the tricks, like envenomed dagger and stuff, but if there are any guides or tricks to soloing a GM/TF on a crab spider?
