Are the Awakened Bugged?

The Awakened in the First Ward seem to have near auto-hit capabilities. What is giving them such accuracy? Their attacks do not do any kind of -Def.

I can eat literally 5 small lucks (Which is way over the soft-cap) and they still hit like they have a DE quartz nearby.

I am jumping into a spawn the size of an 8 - player team so is one giving some kind of massive to-hit buff?

Note: I also run Weave and Maneuvers on top of that too.

The Paragonwiki entry for the Awakened is sadly incomplete, but yes, I do recall some of the Awakened having some kind of ugly tohit buff.

Edit: You could check with a power analyzer.

And to add these are even con minions, I can put myself over 70% defense and they still hit hmmm.

Basically, the Awakened Conduits have a Click Power that amounts to "YOUR PRIMARY/SECONDARY IS *INVALID* AND WORTHLESS" to all Defense based protection schemes because ... well ... just because ...

If a player were doing this, it would be considered both Cheating *AND* Griefing. I mean, it's not as if Defense (alone) isn't the flimsiest protection scheme possible out of the alternatives or anythin- oh wait ... it is.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

Defeat them faster. They can't hit you if they're on the floor.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Well, technically players can do this by eating a bunch of yellows. Or using any number of powers which give them huge to hit buffs. Which is why a defense based powerset isn't very useful in pvp. Elude might as well not even exist against another player.

But when coming up against mobs like this you have to remember that purples are no longer your friend. Instead increase your resistance, to hit, and damage and take out the offenders as quickly as possible. Set up a targeting macro specifically for them. I haven't run a def based character in a while but I used to have macros set up for quartz and observers so I could make sure I had them targeted well before entering combat.

All I know is that even if their ToHit buffs are allowing them to supposedly "cheat and grief" then I must be getting old because I never really noticed it. I've thrown several different AT/powersets at them with characters of various levels and I still killed them pretty much as fast as anything else. *shrugs*

This thread sounds once again like the classic "My Scrapper is suddenly facing one of the very few things I can't kill in 0.002 seconds" syndrome. It's funny how players who are used to instantly mowing down 99.9% of their opponents get when they stumble over something that actually challenges them.

Personally I enjoy the challenges. That's why I set up specific targeting, to counter them. That's the secret to challenges, find out how to overcome them. And I'll have you know that it actually takes me 0.007 seconds to kill things with my scrappers. So that 0.002 figure you came up with must be for frankenslotted and incarnate scrappers.
