So what's your concept?
Kotchie - Stone/Stone Brute -
Circle of Thorn Mages tried to fuse a human newborn with a Devouring Earth Granite, in an attempt to make an offspring they could control. They failed. What they developed looked like a human early in his development, so they treated him like a slave. Later in life, Kotchie blossomed his "talents" of bending the earth to his will and broke free of his former "masters".
He frequently defeats opponents by telling them about his day.

This is amusing to me.
And.
One of my newer characters is Mender Micron, a level 38 Bots/Time Mastermind. He is a little blue man who came from the future to teach humans the art of superior robot crafting. He has no affiliation with Ouroboros, he just mends the bots.
All of my characters have backstory and concepts, but it would be a bit long to detail them all. Two of my more recent follow.

Sudden Shot is my DP/Time Corruptor who grew up poor and had fallenl in with a local gang before his mutant ability to manipulate time manifested. When his ability to stretch time developed, he moved up quickly in the gang hierarchy and was responsible for a lot of theft and intimidation. Who wants to go up against a punk with a gun who isn't afraid to use it who can slow you down and/or speed himself up?
Stopped before he could go too far by a hero (friend of mine's Tanker) who could shrug off bullets and had endurance to keep coming even if slowed, Sudden Shot was put on the path to reform and eventually went out on the streets to give back for what he'd taken.

Vikram Prasad was driving across country to visit his pregnant daughter as she neared giving birth. A powerul storm came up as he passed through a desloate stretch of terrain and while making his way carefully through the storm his grandfather saw a person he took as a pedestrian passing along the road. Knowing the road went on for a dozen miles or more before there would be anyplace for the person to get out of the rain, Vikram pulled over and insisted the person get in out of the rain.
Explaining that he was on his way to she his pregnant daughter because she was nearing birth, Vikram asked the stranger, who looked a bit impoverished and down on his luck, what he was doing walking along the road. The stranger replied strangely, "I was enjoying the storm." When he dropped the stranger off in a villiage a dozen miles later, the stranger offered to pay Vikram for his hospitality. Vikram refused, instead asking the stranger to simply offer a blessing at the first temple he came across for his daughter and new grandchild.
Perhaps the mutation that gave Satish the ability to generate electricity was a coincidence, but his grandfather believes the stranger he thought he was helping was more than he appeared. While he can not project lightning like various others can, Satish can so greatly charge his hands that the charge is prone to leaping short distances towards things his hands are near. While impressive, Satish thought it too inferior to pursue a career as a superhero (and he was raised to be more pragmatic than to go running around like others in spandex). Instead he was drawn to military service, where he was trained in covert operations. As it turns out, the government has use for someone with his combination of talents and training and he ends up bringing in regular stream of dangerous, super-powered criminals. It is just that he does so secretly, outside the limelight that others draw to themselves. The tag name he has taken and that is now whispered on the streets by the most notorious is Ghost Shock.
Ghost Shock: Electric Melee/Ninjitsu Stalker
Under construction
Aureline: The child of Praetorian fat cats, Laureline grew up horribly spoiled and horribly arrogant. When she eventually came into her powers she grew even worse. Personally loyal to Marcus Cole but able to justify rebellion as protecting the Emperor from bad advisers - really she only respects the abstract concept of Emperor Cole, she's far too far gone into narcissism to respect any person. Magic Power Loyalist Vigilante, Mind/Fire/Fire dom.
Ms. Razor: Polish-African-American ex-cop PI. Originally a PPD detective, Liberty Raszak got caught up in superheroics when Malta raided her precinct. There were these claws in evidence from a defeated spider agent, and it seemed... right. Leopard style kung fu and actually quite magical claws made for a lethal combination. In the aftermath she left the force and since it's the thing got a PI license. Recently she's stopped using physical claws, manifesting them and glowing tattoos by sheer willpower. Natural Hero, Claws/SR/Body scrapper.
Basic Average Girl: She's here to save the world. Really. Can't use her real name as a hero codename in Paragon due to issues with the Busy Bee franchise. It involves her rocket scientist father being perpetually stoned to cope with the stress of having served on a strategic missile sub while having a sense of imagination and her mother letting him do the paperwork. Former small town hero, now college student with majors in kicking ***, recreational drug use and leather bars. Also now a big time hero. Recently very big time with insane powers far beyond 16 styles of kung fu that all look like muay thai power moves. Natural hero, StJ/SR/Body scrapper.
My latest character A R C H E T Y P E (Street Justice/Invincibility Tanker). He is a clone of Statesman by Crey Industries' Revanant Hero Project. He is believed to be a failed attempt to create an incarnate level hero with a sample of Statesman's blood. The clone posesses no superpowers but is in peak physical condition and while not an Incarnate he still has the potential to ascend to incarnate levels and his DNA holds the key to the ascension of the Paragon Protectors created by Crey Industries. He is given his freedom from Crey by the Peacemakers supergroup and will serve as part of a mission architect story i am slowly working on. After the clone's first mission with the Peacemakers, his arm is disintegrated after the clone sacrificed himself to protect Ms, Liberty from assassination. His arm is replaced with a bionic prosthesis that grants him mild super strength. ARCHETYPE is given a powersuit and body armor from Statesman that resembles his own uniform. The clone understands that he is not Marcus Cole but someone else entirely, although he retains many of Marcus Cole's memories. Statesman gave him the name Cole Richter combining his last name with his wife's maiden name, also the last name of a former friend.
